I believe a few weeks ago the name was still Kausa, not Waroeng Setiabudhi. Originally, this place was Waroeng Setiabudhi, and I used to come here often. Then they changed the name to Kausa, and I stopped coming because I thought it was a different restaurant. Turns out, they’ve changed the name back to Waroeng Setiabudhi again. Of course, I came back right away. Waroeng Setiabudhi is a legendary modern surabi place in Bandung. Their first branch was on Setiabudi Street, hence the name. They don’t just serve classic surabi like kinca or oncom, but also modern versions with various toppings and fillings. You can add cheese, chocolate, and flavors like strawberry, banana, or even durian. For savory options, they have chicken, sausage, eggs, and their signature mayo sauce. This place is pure nostalgia for me. I’ve been eating in Waroeng Setiabudhi for more than 15 years, and honestly, the taste is still great. It’s the kind of food that always makes you want to come back.

The location is strategic and look like support naturalism, they’re cook with traditional stove for making the food, for me it’s the unique points for the restaurant. They serve surabi, chicken noodle, meatball, and many variants of beverage. The food is really tasty I ordered salty and sweet surabi, my fav is surabi ayam mayonaise and surabi susu keju, it’s full of chicken filling and for the cheese is full of topping. But for the beverage it’s too sweet for me hehe. But overall I like the food, building, atmosphere, staff, and location

The food was delicious, but the coffee was not. This place is recommended for enjoying surabi. However, the waiter tends to get confused when there are many orders.

Found the advertisement from Instagram they just opened a new branch in Dago. I went here with no expectations. Ordered surabis, mie ayam, and drinks. When the server came, I didn't lie I was shocked. I ordered the mie ayam special and it has a ceker, a few kinds of bakso, and thick flavored broth. A large portion of the noodle itself. Not to mention how huge the surabis are 😂 and it was all so good! Been here a couple of times since then. I really recommend this place for students that looking for an affordable but good portion of food, or maybe for a family lunch😊
