Must Order: Schalschik 🍢 and Bratwurst 🌭 The Beef Schalschik (9/10) is truly something else 🤩🔥 absolutely loved how tender and flavorful it is! The beef is grilled until it has this smoky flavor and has some crispy crunch on the outside. Stacked with tomatoes, onions, and green pepper just combines perfection lathered with their sweet barbecue sauce 🔥 Bratwurst (8.5/10) is thick and has this meaty taste; similar to the Schalschik, the Bratwurst has less of that smoky taste but remains delicious regardless. Beef Tongue (7/10) is tender and doused in mushroom sauce—quite standard. Poffertjes (7.8/10) has this rich chewy pancake batter with a hint of egg-y taste. It has powdered sugar with cinnamon sugar on top and I think the cinnamon made it quite special. The others (Sirloin steak, Four Season Pizza, pastries) were rather disappointing 🥲 - Sirloin steak: hard to chew and it was difficult to enjoy. - Four Season Pizza: dough was too bread-y and it tasted like instant pizza dough 😢 - Pastries: too dry and it was hard to scoop. - Mushroom Soup: tasted like instant soup with some mushrooms Overall, the experience is polarizing; Schalschik carried the entire dining experience (on its own 9/10⭐️) but the other dishes were so ordinary and some below par—overall, 7/10 ⭐️

A bit disappointed with the kitchen. We ordered two sirloin steaks—one well done and one medium well. Unfortunately, both steaks came out well done. We informed the staff, and to their credit, they quickly replaced one of the steaks. We waited about 10 minutes for the new one. However, when the replacement arrived, it wasn’t medium well either—it was actually undercooked and still too raw inside. Please improve the consistency of the kitchen. This is one of Bandung’s legendary restaurants, and it would be a shame if experiences like this discouraged customers from coming back.

The food is still as good as I remember it from years ago. The shashlik is so tender. For a place that has been standing for about 50 years, the place is still great and the food even greater.

There’s nothing Dutch about the meals that I ordered, but a good meal is a good meal. I had the tongue steak and it was tender with the perfect amount of sauce. There was a mix up with the drinks but it was fine. This is a good place for families. The ambience is very Bandung with all the trees and wooden architecture (again, idk why this was branded as a Dutch restaurant). I personally would come back here.

Been ages since I last eat here. The old vibes or vintage is still there, very comforting and nostalgic. I ordered Tenderloin Steak and it’s delicious. Got complimentary mineral water and pastries.
