They keep it pretty simple here, pretty much a place for soup, specifically the oxtail soup. While the original was okay, the grilled oxtail was delicious and a reason to come back here. The lemongrass tea was nice also.
View on GoogleThis restaurant speciality is oxtail. They served soup based and fried. But the fried is not the same like other restaurant that fried the oxtail, but they used sweet soy and cook it and taste good. The meat is tender in both type, but the soup taste quite a lot pepper inside. There are also other kind of food such as chicken soto, fried chicken, etc. But when we order the other type like dessert such as tahu isi and cireng, they already finished, although we come 2 hours before closed. The place is an old house and quite spacious and clean. The service also quick and good.
View on GoogleI ordered sop buntut goreng (fried oxtail soup), but it seems the fried oxtail, wasn't fried. The oxtail tasted like sweet soy sauce. The intersting thing was that next to the restaurant is Duren Ucok.
View on GoogleA little nice and cosy place for the best oxtail soup in town, confirmed many times by the local and a must try when you are in town. We enjoyed the food very much to our taste and liking, the gado gado and bee hoon Soto is delicious too.
View on GoogleTimeless Oxtail Soup in North Bandung Located on Jalan Cipaganti, this renowned oxtail soup restaurant is a true culinary treasure in North Bandung, offering an authentic taste of “tempo doeloe” that has stood the test of time. The oxtail soup here is rich and flavorful, capturing the essence of traditional Indonesian cuisine. Each bowl is a comforting blend of tender meat and perfectly balanced broth, a taste that rivals even the most famous restaurants and hotels in the city. However, be prepared for a few trade-offs. The parking space is quite limited, which can be a bit of a challenge, especially during peak hours. Additionally, the prices are on the higher side compared to other local spots, but the quality and authenticity of the food make it a worthy indulgence. In conclusion, if you’re in North Bandung and looking for a taste of authentic oxtail soup with a nostalgic twist, this restaurant on Jalan Cipaganti is a must-visit. Despite the parking and price considerations, the exceptional flavor and timeless appeal make it a standout destination for oxtail soup lovers.
