One of a must visited museum in Bandung, at least once. If you are seeking new knowledge about one of the maestros in Indonesia and what work they produce, it suits you well. Other than that, you could take aesthetic photos by yourself there. The building architecture is very minimalist, very clean, and neat, as is the toilet. The ambience feels quiet, warm, and cozy. Also, they have a cafe on the top floor, which looks nice. The building has a lift and staircases. Recommended to visit on weekdays, since they have limited parking space for cars in front of the building. They accept payment by QRIS, and the ticket price is IDR 30.000 per person on weekdays.
View on GoogleThe paintings are truly captivating, offering a refreshing artistic perspective that feels different from the usual. The collection creates a unique atmosphere, presenting Indonesia’s natural landscapes and wonders of the world from an entirely different point of view. It’s an interesting place to visit, although unfortunately, it can get quite crowded on holidays, especially with visitors looking to capture photos and create social media content. If you prefer a more relaxed experience, I’d recommend visiting on a weekday.
View on GoogleA cozy place. Three floors of artworks, each more interesting than the last. The first floor introduces you to the kind of work the museum houses. Strong separation, interesting textures, and bold colors. The second floor magnifies it, making you look at the tiny details and the fusion of colors, also the human expressions. The third one show's you the artist's more delicate, softer travel paintings, which was personally my favorite. Also has a cafe on the to floor, which was amazingly comfortable.
View on GoogleThe Srihadi Soedarsono Museum is a private museum showcasing the works of Mr. Srihadi. Yesterday I visited here with a friend, and there was a calligraphy exhibition in collaboration with Mr. Imam C. Basri. The staff are very friendly; you can ask them questions about the museum, and they’re happy to provide detailed explanations. The museum is both aesthetic and clean, and the artwork on display is truly impressive. There’s also a café on the second floor. Highly recommended for those who enjoy exhibitions or art museums.
View on GoogleVisiting the Srihadi Soedarsono Museum was an inspiring experience for me. The gallery is beautifully curated, with an aesthetic that truly reflects the elegance of Srihadi’s works. Each piece is displayed with care, allowing visitors to appreciate the depth, colours, and meaning behind the art. I found the atmosphere calm and contemplative, perfect for immersing myself in the beauty of Indonesian modern art. It feels more than just a museum; it is a space where culture, creativity, and reflection meet in the most graceful way.
