During our culinary adventure in Bandung, we visited another legendary restaurant, the Mandarin Restaurant, known for its exceptional Chinese cuisine. The Hotplate Water Spinach with Beef is their signature dish, and it’s clear why. Nearly every table had ordered this favorite. The taste is incredibly delicious, with the water spinach perfectly cooked and well-seasoned. The seafood components, especially the squid, are plentiful and tender. The portion size is generous, easily serving 3-4 people. The thick, brown sauce is savory and rich. This dish is a must-try! We also ordered their Pork Steak, featuring well-fried pork slices topped with a delectable butter sauce and served with fries. To warm us up in Bandung's cool weather, we chose the Crab Asparagus Soup. This soup is brimming with crab meat, filling the entire bowl. I loved their food so much that I wished I could try more from their exciting menu. Mandarin Restaurant is a must-visit, and once you try it, you'll want to keep coming back!
View on GoogleAn old style chinese food restaurant, near the heart of Bandung City. Brought up some memories, cause I used to eat here with my parents on my birthday back then. Try their cingkong kepiting for a warm dinner.
View on GoogleVisited the legendary Mandarin Restaurant. The food taste perfect! Typically comfort chinese food. We ordered the famous hotplate, fuyunghai & fried chicken. Everything was perfect. The interior is very old but still clean & well maintained. Def will comeback!
View on GoogleBeing a Chinese Malaysian going to another Indonesian Chinese restaurant is exciting to test my palate & appreciate what others have to offer. Dangerous gulung ham was amazingly cool 😎 coz I never had that back home, the appearance has won.. taste is good. Next stop kangkung ca is their signature dish; unfortunately I can't take it 🤣, can't review but my colleagues couldn't stop eating, so I believed it is superb. We also ordered deep fried fish which actually come with the gravy and it tasted very similar back home. So is a ok for me. We had fried mixed vege and also fried egg for a vegetarian. Overall the restaurant is super nostalgic and makes me feel like I've been transported back to the 50s or 60s.. you know, my parent's era.. suggest everyone to come here when you're in bandung to try out this very traditional yet tasty dishes which van hardly find nowadays.
View on GoogleThe best place to eat around Bandung station, the true authentic Chinese food that you can indulged. There's a non-halal menu, but the rest should be fine. We order just a simple fried rice with a tomato soup, we thought we just want to rest a bit while fill up the tummy.. Both food came with a huge portion, but surprisingly the taste was outstandingly good and delicious, we ended up ate the whole food. Pls give it a try if you're around Bandung station, you won't regret it :)
