Ate in this restaurant when I was in Bandung. I ordered Iga bakar. Their iga bakar was so big and mouth watering but a bit to chewed, not too tender. They're specialized for ayam penyet (smashed chicken). Their sambal was good. And the price is affordable
View on GoogleAyam Penyet Ceria (Before: Ayam Penyet Ria) in Bandung is one of the well-known establishments specializing in traditional Indonesian smashed fried chicken, or ayam penyet, a dish beloved across the archipelago. Originally part of a larger franchise that began in Surabaya, Ayam Penyet Ria made its mark in Bandung by offering a consistent blend of authentic Javanese flavors and accessible comfort food in a clean, family-friendly setting. Its location in busy commercial areas like malls and shopping streets helps it attract a steady stream of locals, families, and office workers looking for a hearty meal that is both satisfying and familiar. The star of the menu, unsurprisingly, is the ayam penyet itself—a juicy piece of fried chicken smashed flat and served with a generous helping of sambal terasi that packs a bold, spicy punch. It is typically accompanied by fried tofu, tempeh, cucumber, and a bit of lettuce. Many customers also rave about the lele penyet (smashed fried catfish) and iga penyet (smashed beef ribs), which offer slightly different textures but the same rich, spicy base. The sambal remains the defining element of the restaurant, praised for its depth, heat, and perfect balance of sweetness and saltiness. Nice!
View on GoogleGood traditional food restaurant for family. They provide ayam penyet, tempe penyet, udang penyet, lele penyet, and other menu as their best. Not too pricey for delicious food. Around 20k-30k for main course, and around 15k-20k for beverage. Their service is quite good. Have a small musholla. Plenty parking area. I just know that this restaurant have many branch even overseas. Recommended for family lunch or dinner.
View on GoogleNice and clean restaurant, various menu and fair price. Have a good VIP room, non smoking area, warmth waiter, clean toilet and need improvement Musholla. Pecel Kediri, Ayam Goreng and Soto Ayam were good. Try Green Juice for drink, soo refreshing.. Parking lot was enough and easy to access..
View on GoogleBest Ayam Penyet (smashed chicken) in town. The chicken served with 'crispy egg grains' and sambal. Ayam penyet & bakso goreng penyet is a must try. This is the popular food came from Surabaya. Delicious food, clean restaurant, with affordable price. Two thumbs up!
