Nasi lemak at Roemah Helena has quietly become part of my morning ritual. The fragrant coconut rice is consistently fluffy, paired perfectly with savoury sambal that carries just the right warmth rather than overwhelming heat. I especially enjoy how the accompaniments feel thoughtfully prepared, giving a balanced and comforting start to the day. The atmosphere is calm and welcoming, making breakfast feel unhurried. It is the kind of place where simple flavours are respected and done properly, leaving me satisfied without feeling heavy. Yeah!

They opened at 7 am, but they are only ready to receive the orders at 7.10. The place not big. The plastic chairs are so small like for children, so if your body is tall and big, you are going to be uncomfortable. The food is pretty good. The place mostly outdoor, so if you prefer non smoking kinda place, you may be uncomfortable if your neighbours smoke around you.

A popular breakfast spot in Bandung. At peak hours (8-10 am), Expect a queue to order the food, and most tables are full so one might have to wait to get a table. They use short table and chairs so it can be a bit uncomfortable for elderly and big person to squat. The food are nice and the price is affordable.

The food menu was super tempting with lots of choices, great for both breakfast and brunch. Just be warned, it can get pretty sunny during brunch time. We waited about 25-30 minutes for our food, but the staff gave us a heads up so it wasn't a surprise. I tried the iced coffee and gohyong. The coffee was really refreshing and a great way to start the day. The gohyong was amazing – super savory with a tangy sauce and a nice kick of spice. The texture was crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. Definitely worth checking out, but get there early to avoid the crowds. It's pretty popular right now.
