Batik museum in "Batik Trusmi" store, this is education place for all who want to know further about Batik, especially for Batik Cirebon. Interesting place you can take a picture use batik kimono, know all equipment and try to make batik. There also nice video you can watch at mini teather room inside the museum.
View on GoogleBeautiful museum showing batik from all regions in Indonesia, also demonstrating the process of making a batik. Open on Saturday and Sunday, parking in abundance.
View on GoogleEducational place and so colorful, designed for visitor to take a lot of photos. Not big enough but you will learn a lot from there. You'll be guided about batik at cirebon, variety of canting, how to make batik (some people will demonstrate it to visitor) and there's mini theatre at the end of the tour. The demonstrator only stay till 4 pm, but the museum still open till 8 pm
View on GoogleTurns out this museum isn't just a place to look at batik, but more like a place to understand Cirebon culture through its history, art, and even the philosophy behind its batik. The place is comfortable and clean, and the layout is modern too, so it doesn't get boring even though it's educational. Perfect for people who usually “aren't that into museums” but still want to explore local culture. What's interesting is that they explain a lot about the history of Batik Trusmi, which has been around since the spread of Islam in Cirebon and is closely connected to palace culture. So you don't just look at batik fabric, you also understand the meanings of the patterns and the Chinese, Arab, and Javanese cultural influences that blend together in Cirebon's distinctive batik. The museum area is also pretty aesthetic and nice for photos. There are lots of batik displays, art installations, and interior spots designed to look modern while keeping a traditional feel. At the end, don't forget to try making batik yourself using a canting. The smallest package is only 28k per person. Overall, this place is really worth visiting if you're in Cirebon.
View on GoogleInteresting, adds to your knowledge about batik trusmi, Instagrammable, photo opportunities, there are artisans too, admission is free, and you can also learn batik here starting from just Rp35.000 It's located at the back, still in the same area as BT Batik Trusmi
