I recently tried this famous spot known for its specialty empal gentong, and they don’t have any branches. The beef was incredibly tender, and the broth was rich and flavorful with a subtle hint of coconut cream. Their goat satay was also excellent—juicy, without any gamey smell, and perfectly complemented by a slightly sweet yet delicious peanut sauce. Overall, it was a great dining experience. Unfortunately, since smoking is allowed there, I couldn’t stay and enjoy the atmosphere for long when other guests started smoking. Cheers, Z

For my mother and aunt, this is simply the best empal gentong in Cirebon City. The goat satay, although relatively small compared to the size in Jakarta, is quite tender and also tastes good. The place is simple and sometimes a bit crowded on weekends or national holidays. Parking is very difficult and on the side of the road. So it causes traffic jams if someone parks carelessly.

Empal Gentong is the signature food of Cirebon. You can't miss it. Amarta is one of the famous empal Gentong. The food is ok, the soup is delicious, and the meat is tender. Satai is also delicious. The only problem is the place. It's dirty and many flies come to make friends with you.

One of the best resto of empal gentong and garang asam in Cirebon, the resto quite clean, less MSG, but taste very good to me with good price. Compare to the other similar resto, this one is the recommended.
