The place itself is beautiful and well-maintained. It was interesting to read and learn about the sculptures but what makes me want to give this a 1-star rating is how they treated us during closing time. It was starting to rain and our Grab driver was stuck in traffic. We still got 10 mins left before the closing time but the staff constantly asked us to leave and wait outside in the rain, saying they need to clean up the place. We understand that they may be simply following orders but have some empathy, man… We respect your dedication carrying out your duties and we understand the culture but traffic and weather is out of our control no matter how much we planned our time. Plus, we are tourists who depends on your hospitality and unfamiliar with the culture. Will never forget nor forgive how you treated us and made us wait outside in the rain.
View on GoogleWot Batu wasn't originally on our itinerary while exploring Dago. But as fate would have it, a heavy downpour began right when we found ourselves riding in front of this place. What we discovered was a sanctuary of peace, tranquility, and beauty. Sadly, we didn't have enough time to explore it properly. One thing is certain: if I ever return to Dago, Wot Batu will be at the top of my list. ✨
View on GoogleWot Batu in Bandung is such a unique and mesmerizing art space! The atmosphere is peaceful yet full of meaning, with every installation blending beautifully into the natural surroundings. The experience feels almost meditative as you walk around and take in the stone artworks. A special shout out to the staff member with long hair (sorry i can’t remember his name) he did an amazing job telling the story behind the artworks and guiding us through the site. His explanations made the visit so much more meaningful and helped us appreciate the deeper philosophy of Wot Batu. Definitely worth a visit if you’re in Bandung!
View on GoogleA hidden sanctuary. The installations are thoughtful and the whole atmosphere is so calm and contemplative. It’s a very humble, unpretentious space that showcases Mr. Sunaryo’s greatness through stone and nature. Highly recommend for anyone looking to recharge their soul.
