Rengganis Hot Spring. Perfect spot to unwind after the bridge. The Keranjang Sultan cable car is basically a bench dangling over the valley — sketchy but fun, with great views on the way down. At the bottom is Kawah Rengganis crater with natural hot springs. Soaking your feet in the sulfur water is so relaxing. Water’s hot, smell’s strong, but it melts away all the walking fatigue. Bring a change of clothes. The cable car rust can stain pants, and some pools look murky. VIP ticket gets you bridge + cable car + hot spring + free tea. Pair this with Kawah Putih for the ultimate Ciwidey day trip.
View on GoogleCibuni Rengganis Crater is an interesting stop, and the lake with the sulfur mist makes it feel very unique. I liked the views and the chance to take photos from the platform, but the extra charge for entering it was a bit frustrating. It was also quite busy when I visited, so it didn’t feel as peaceful as I expected.
View on Googlea breath taking view despite the scary & wobbly bridge 😂 watch your step while walking to the crater area. keranjang sultan was a quicker way going back to the bridge although there is an option using motorcycle provided by the locals.
View on GoogleA nice place to visit for the hot springs, suspension bridge and the cable car chairs (I visited as part of a tour). It's just a shame about the rubbish around the hot springs
View on GoogleSoon after getting down from the Rengganis Suspension Bridge, I took the trail to the left toward the crater. The path is clean and very easy to navigate. The scenery reminded me of Sikidang Crater in Dieng, though this felt milder. It also reminded me of Kawah Domas at Tangkuban Perahu because of the similar rocky terrain and steam rising directly from the ground. There are several blue pools where people were soaking their feet, and some were even taking a bath in the other pools. I walked around for a few minutes and left with some good photos. It’s a nice, accessible spot if you enjoy natural hot springs and geothermal views.
