Taste-wise, everything is the same at Simpang Raya. But there are interesting options to pick besides the others. The tempting red snapper head is indeed savory and delicious. The ayam pop and fried chicken, my wife's favorites, are also good.

This is the first time I've eaten Padang food that tasted this awfully sour, the place is nice though, the sayur gori was already spoiled, yet they still served it, so I lost my appetite

In my opinion the taste isn't as yummy compared to other simpang raya branches. But my husband thinks it's the same. The place is VERY CLEAN. The service is very friendly as usual. Overall very ok. It's just the taste that I think is lacking.
