When I saw the facade of this place, I could tell the business owner truly loves the culture of Padang (West Sumatra). The choices of color, Tanjak Deta (the special hat for males in Padang), uniforms, language on the walls, videos, etc., all aim to bring Padang's authentic ambiance here. I ordered "ayam goreng lado ijo" (fried chicken marinated with green chili paste), "perkedel" (fried mashed potatoes), rice, and their condiments (vegetables, and a little bit of soup on top). I also had a small plate of "sate padang" (skewers of thinly sliced beef with a thick special sauce). The spices were amazing, taking me back to when I was still working in North and West Sumatra. There was a bit of disappointment because some of the meat was a bit dry. It still tasted marvelous, and I will definitely return, but it would be perfect if all of the ingredients were in prime condition. They have a couple of dish names that weren't familiar to our ears, such as Talua. I haven't tried it since I was already full, but it is great to have a new quality hidden gem in Grand Wisata.

The food is actually delicious, the only minus is the rice is not fluffy enough, wow + turn on the AC, hey it's very hot and stuffy, just a fan won't have any effect

The food is authentic Padang, the spices are thick. Favorite breakfast is Ketupat sayur nangka, affordable price only 14k, but the spices are very Padang. The Soto Padang is also delicious, it really is authentic...
