Pontianak has been famous for their kwetiau, but I have never yet tried it. I found this gems between empty building; gave it try and not regret it. The taste is original; difference with other common street kwetiau. They have bunch of kwetiau menu. I ordered fried and yam ceh seafood kwetiau. Both delicious. They also offered Pontianak-theme drink; ordered orange and aloe vera iced drinks. The orange is very sweet but not sugary sweet. The aloe vera is fresh as well. The place offered literally home nuance. The owner and their young adult kids might wander around since I have dinner at their home kitchen and dining room. I wished I can start conversation with the owner, I think it would be great dining experience. Would love to come back and talk with the owner in the table.

Great kwetiau / kwetiaw. Highly recommended. Importantly the noodles will not be mushy - the driver had a considerable distance to deliver too. The kwetiaw seafood actually had little prawns in it. The kwetiaw daging actually had real pieces of beef, not sausage meat. Excellent! The flavour of course was great too. The jeruk peras panas was great too - it contained real squeezed oranges. Coeliac / gluten free: just be careful. I had no problem. There will be a small amount of kecap manis in this food. Is it the more expensive Bango (gluten free) brand or a cheaper alternative?
