While the atmosphere was OK, the food at Bakso Goendoel restaurant left much to be desired. We got oxtail soup and meatball soup + crispy chicken wonton and fried meatballs. The dishes lacked authenticity and flavor, tasting more like generic takeout than genuine Asian cuisine. One of the most disappointing parts was they didn’t accept credit card, I was told it was only cash and debit. If it was a small restaurant I would understand. At least put a sign that they only accept cash & debit card. Overall, it was a disappointing culinary journey that fell short of expectations.

Research Bogor for halal food outing & found out about Bakso Goendoel. And it’s really damn excellent and tasty. Local delicacies at its best. So far of all Bakso I’ve tried, this is no 1 when you come Bogor. As said earlier, food was amazing, in fact best, service was quick and great, location find, the place was clean and smart :-) price was unbelievly low, staff were great..!!! All together a complete FIVE STAR RATING from me and my kids.
