A highly recommended family restaurant that was introduced to me by a friend! I stopped by here with my parents, and the cliffside view right as you walk in is absolutely beautiful. The establishment is very spacious with a large variety of seating options to choose from. The System & Facilities: Upon entering, you are greeted by a massive buffet line featuring classic Sundanese dishes. You simply grab a tray and tongs, pick whatever you like, and you can request the staff to re-fry your selection so it is served hot and crispy. The biggest perk here is that they offer free, unlimited refills for both their Sayur Asem (traditional sweet and sour vegetable soup) and hot Kopi Tubruk (traditional black coffee). The Sayur Asem is incredibly punchy and refreshing. They also have fried bananas available, though those come at an extra charge. The Food: Overall, it delivers a standard, solid Sundanese buffet taste. The Hits: The fried tempeh and tofu are excellent and taste very fresh since they are fried right upon order. The beef lungs (paru) are also wonderful—perfectly tender with a lovely, subtle sweetness to them. The Misses: Be a bit careful with requesting a second fry on seafood. The shrimp became a bit too overcooked and tough because of it. Verdict: Despite the minor overcooking on the shrimp, the great atmosphere, fresh side dishes, and complimentary refills make this a perfect and comfortable spot for a big family gathering or a casual hangout with friends!

This was my first time visiting Gumati, and I had a wonderful experience. The Sundanese food was delicious, especially the juicy ayam goreng and gurame topped with golden crispy crumbs. Everything was flavorful and well-prepared. 🍽👌 The view was absolutely breathtaking, with peaceful villages and beautiful Mt. Salak in the background. The prices were also reasonable for the quality and atmosphere. Overall, I highly recommend this place. 🔥👍

1. Vegetables and Sambal "The vegetable and sambal spread is priced at 20,000 IDR for unlimited servings, which is a slight departure from the standard pricing model at most Sundanese restaurants." 2. Table Service "Table cleanliness and clearing services require further improvement to meet professional standards." 3. Complimentary Coffee "Complimentary hot coffee is provided, served as traditional *kopi tubruk* in charming, vintage yellow tin mugs." 4. The View "The establishment offers a pleasant mountain view, adding to the overall dining atmosphere." 5. Washing Hand Facilities "Sink maintenance needs attention, as poor drainage and clogging issues were observed during the visit." 6. Crowd Density "The restaurant maintained a high volume of guests, remaining notably busy even during the off-peak hour of 3:00 PM.

I recently visited Gumati in Bogor and was blown away by the authentic traditional Sundanese cuisine! The standout dishes for me were the Sate Kulit (crispy chicken skin satay) and Sate Paru (beef lung satay), which were both incredibly flavorful and tender. The Ayam Goreng (traditional fried chicken) was also a highlight - crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. The atmosphere was cozy and welcoming, with friendly staff and traditional decor. Overall, I highly recommend Gumati for anyone looking to try delicious and authentic Sundanese food!
