Bakso H. Amir Bogor: A Local Gem If you're looking for a satisfying and affordable bakso experience in Bogor, Bakso H. Amir is definitely worth a visit. This humble little stand is always buzzing with locals and tourists alike, drawn in by the promise of delicious, homemade meatballs. While they prefer cash payments, don't worry if you only have a card - they also accept transfers. Just be prepared to wait a bit, as this place is always packed! During my visit, I managed to snag a seat right after the previous customers left. The menu offers a variety of bakso and noodle options, so there's something for everyone. And if you're feeling thirsty, they also serve a selection of juices and bottled teas. The only downside is the limited parking space. There's room for maybe two cars, but if you're on a motorbike, you should be fine. You can also try parking in the nearby traditional market. Overall, Bakso H. Amir is a great spot to enjoy authentic Bogor bakso. The prices are reasonable, the food is delicious, and the atmosphere is lively. Just be prepared for a bit of a wait during peak hours!
View on GoogleBakso is a type of Indonesian meatball that is commonly made from ground beef or chicken mixed with tapioca starch, garlic, shallots, and other seasonings. The mixture is then shaped into balls and boiled in hot water. Bakso is typically served in a bowl of broth, along with noodles, vegetables, and a variety of condiments such as chili sauce, soy sauce, and lime juice. Bakso is a popular street food in Indonesia and can be found in many food stalls and restaurants throughout the country. It is often enjoyed as a quick and satisfying meal or as a snack on the go. Bakso is also a staple food in Indonesian households, and many families have their own unique recipe for making it. In addition to the traditional beef or chicken bakso, there are also variations that use other meats such as fish, shrimp, or even tofu. Bakso is a versatile dish that can be enjoyed in many different ways, and it is a beloved part of Indonesian cuisine.
View on GoogleThe beef broth is delicious, with lots of chunks of fat. The meatballs are chewy, and the meat filling is tasty. The price is proportional to the quality and taste. Recommended if you are around PGB to stop by to taste these meatballs.
View on GoogleTrying out another famous baso in Bogor. Surprisingly the place has changed a lot since the last time I came here (it was in junior high school). It's much nicer and pretty clean. The soup is fresh while the meatballs are snappy and tasty. I love how the 'tetelan' melt along every time you take a bite. A portion costs Rp 20.000.
