I'd been hearing about this non-halal soto mie in Surya Kencana, Bogor for years, but for one reason or another, I never got the chance to visit. Finally, I made it to Soto Mie Agih! The restaurant is located on Surya Kencana Street, Bogor. If you're entering from the main SurKen entrance, it's on the left side of the road, not far from the viral D' Paris Bakery. Parking can be a bit tricky since there's no dedicated parking area, so you'll have to park along the roadside. Luckily, there are usually parking attendants to help direct you. As soon as we walked in, the staff greeted us and showed us to our seats. The place was really packed when we visited, so their assistance was definitely helpful. We ordered several dishes: Soto Mie Batkil Grilled Pork Noodles Bak Kut with Pickled Mustard Greens Pork Satay Khayangan Wonton Soup While waiting for our food, one of the staff offered us fried pork meatballs (5 pieces for IDR 30k). We decided to give them a try. They were served hot, and while the taste was just okay, the meatballs were packed with meat instead of being hollow inside. They're not very big, but they're quite filling—I was already satisfied after eating just one. Finally, all of our food arrived! 🍜 Soto Mie Batkil The portion is huge—definitely enough for two people if you order rice. The broth is rich and savory, and the highlight is the super tender pork ribs. Other than that, the flavor is pretty standard. 🍜 Grilled Pork Noodles The noodles were nicely seasoned, and I liked that they used thick noodles instead of the usual thin curly ones. The soup on the side was a little mild but still had a nice pork broth flavor. 🥬 Bak Kut with Pickled Mustard Greens Another generous portion that's enough for sharing with rice. The pork ribs were tender, but the soup was a bit too sour for my taste. 🥟 Khayangan Wonton Soup The broth tasted very similar to the soto mie, but this one came with noodles/vermicelli and crispy fried wontons. 🍢 Pork Satay The skewers weren't huge, but they weren't too small either. The taste was good and satisfying. As for the price, I'd say it's in the medium range. Most dishes cost over IDR 45k, but considering the generous portions, they're great for sharing. If you're looking to try a different kind of soto mie, Soto Mie Agih is worth checking out. Just keep in mind that it's non-halal.
View on GoogleWe arrived right when they opened. The place was spotless (including the restrooms), the staff was well-prepared, and our food arrived promptly. The service was highly professional. Unfortunately, the food itself fell short of my expectations. While the portions were generous, the broth in the mie kocok was a bit too sweet for my taste; it lacked the savory depth I was anticipating. The soto mie was definitely better. It was unique, and while the individual components (kikil, babat, bakut, and noodles) tasted good on their own, they just didn't complement each other. As a dish, it simply didn't work for me as I don’t find them cohesive.
View on GoogleTrue to its name! You should try the "soto mie" here! Even the regular portion is very generous, with plenty of noodles, tripe, and of course, pork!❤️🍜🥢 The taste is authentic, and shout out to the fast, friendly service and quick responses on WhatsApp, making it easy for soto mie lovers from outside Bogor to get useful information. Love it! Highly recommend!
View on GoogleCame to try soto mie babat. It's clear soup, kind of sweet from the daikon, clean and tender tripes. Have to add aome condiments to make the taste suitable for me. The yellow noodle was kind of too soft, I'd prefer it bit chewy. The place is clean and full aircon, it's a big plus.
