While I was in Bogor recently, my younger sister recommended a coffee spot called Askara Coffee Kitchen, a hidden gem tucked away in the Sindangbarang area. Finding the place is part of the experience itself—it’s located a bit off the main road, and the entrance is surprisingly through what looks like an old abandoned building. At first, I wasn't sure if I was heading in the right direction, but once I got inside, it was absolutely worth it. The outdoor area is definitely the highlight of this place. It sits right next to a wide stretch of rice fields, creating a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere that's hard to find in the city. If you're a smoker, I'd highly recommend grabbing one of the outdoor seats facing the lush green paddies. It's the perfect spot to unwind, enjoy the fresh air, and spend a few hours doing absolutely nothing. For my drink, I ordered their Aren Latte (palm sugar coffee), and honestly, it was really good. The quality easily rivals one of Bogor's popular coffee chains, "Inisial N", but at a much more affordable price. The coffee was smooth, well-balanced, and not overly sweet. To go with my coffee, I ordered the crispy mushrooms and onion rings. Both were delicious and made great companions to the drink. Simple snacks, but done right. Another thing that stood out was the hospitality. The staff were incredibly friendly, warm, and welcoming from the moment I arrived. Their genuine kindness made the whole experience even more enjoyable and added to the cozy atmosphere of the place. A big plus for me is that Askara also provides a musholla (prayer room), which is always appreciated and makes the place even more convenient for Muslim visitors. The place seemed quite busy during my visit, and I noticed a lot of IPB University students hanging out there, probably because it's not too far from campus. The vibe is relaxed, cozy, and welcoming—whether you're looking to work, catch up with friends, or simply enjoy a good cup of coffee with a beautiful view. Askara has definitely earned a spot on my list of favorite coffee places in Bogor. Whenever I'm back in town and craving a good coffee experience, this will be one of the first places I'll visit again. Highly recommended for anyone looking for great coffee, beautiful scenery, friendly service, and a relaxing escape from the city's hustle and bustle.
View on GoogleThe place not so spacy but they have beautiful view. Outdoor space in first floor is the best spot. Only tasted Singkong Goreng 8/10 and Kopsus Gula Aren 7/10. You better request for less sweet for better taste. Maybe i will come back again in weekdays to experience their best spot 😉
View on GoogleNice view, a bit hotter outside the room, but if the paddy land is in harvest time, you will get a very beautiful view, unfortunately when we there, the harvest time is over. Foods are tasted well, as well as the beverages. I tried 2 : Batagor & Mix French
View on GoogleSwitching lyfe instantly to a slow living mode once you step into this place. In the middle of rush hour along Bogor roads around 9 am, you could experience this peaceful short getaway with paddy field view over some coffee and local snacks. Surprisingly, the salad is great, served with their signature salad dressing. We also tried their rice bowl, singkong goreng, fried enoki (which is awesomely crunchy till the very last bite). Thank u talented people 😊🌾
View on GoogleWe've come to this great place twice. In the evening and in the midday. The Food is Great, The Coffee is good. Good view from the green lush paddy field. The price is so reasonable. Unfortunately the place is so hot when in the midday.
