Generally ok’ish food but too expensive for what you get. Tried once having nasi padang with Grilled chicken and mineral water. Cost me 78k rupiah. That is too much for what I get. The taste and look are also not that much different than average padang restaurant.

Tried Garuda, a Padang eatery in Summarecon Bekasi. While the taste is acceptable, it leans towards mild rather than the robust savory flavor I prefer in Padang cuisine. The new venue is clean and pleasant, but there's room for improvement in enhancing the overall taste experience. For a more intense Padang flavor, exploring other options that might be worth considering. Things to note: they also provide options like Sate Ayam Bumbu Kacang and Gado-Gadi, which, although not typical of Padang cuisine and not my preferences to mix them up, offer alternative flavors that may appeal to different preferences.

A very comfortable Padang restaurant with a lot of varieties of delicious dishes. Price is a bit pricey compared to street food Padang but it’s worth the price. Facilities are clean and the service is stellar.

However, there were some notable downsides to my visit. The dish portions were disappointingly small, which left me wanting more. The taste of the food was average at best, largely due to a lack of seasoning, which made the dishes less enjoyable than they could have been. Moreover, the prices were on the high side, which made the small portions and average taste feel less justified. In summary, while Restoran Padang Garuda excels in service and ambiance, the food quality, portion sizes, and pricing need improvement. I hope to see these aspects addressed in the future, as the potential for a great dining experience is certainly there.
