Simplisio Menya in Kota Baru Parahyangan is a solid option if you’re hunting for good ramen around West Bandung. The place occupies the first floor of a ruko, so space is small and narrow. No wandering around with dramatic pacing here. Seating is mostly bar-style, very much like a Japanese ramen counter, which actually fits the concept nicely. Intimate, focused, and straight to the point. Food-wise, it delivers. They have a good variety of ramen, and honestly, none of the bowls we tried missed. One standout is the Salmon Head Kabuto. That thing is excellent. Rich, flavorful, and deeply satisfying. Definitely not just a gimmick order. Now, the real issue: price. It’s on the pricey side. When you compare taste to price, and taste to the place itself, it does feel like it should be a bit cheaper. The ramen is good, but the setting is very modest, so the pricing feels slightly ambitious. Still, overall, it’s a good experience. And as a bonus, upstairs there’s Just Salmon, if you’re in the mood for salmon-heavy dishes. From sashimi and nigiri to rolls and more, you can continue your fish-focused journey without changing buildings. So yes, good ramen, great salmon head, small space, and prices that could calm down a little. Worth trying, especially if you’re already around Kota Baru Parahyangan.
View on GoogleI have the spicy one and it taste a bit sweet. I generally love salty and rich ramen so this broth doesn't really suits me. The toppings are plentiful. They gave one full egg, 3 chicken slices, a dumpling, seaweed, and that roundy thing. The area is big enough along with 2nd floor that serves sushi. The 1st floor seats as you can see in the picture has wall next to each seats so single customer can have privacy.
View on GoogleGreat ramen! Loved the chizu and spicy ramen. 1 portion was plentiful enough for 2 people. Totally worth the price. We were so lucky to be able to eat here. 15 minutes late we might not be able to get seatings.
View on GoogleThe ramen and all it's toppings here are exceptionally rich, along with high quality salmon dishes. Combined with a cozy japanese atmosphere and an open bar view for both the ramen and sushi bar letting you see the cooking process, this place is a must visit.
View on GoogleThe place is quite small and abit cramped, kinda uncomfortable, but I can feel the japanese vibes. The food, ramen: the noodles are a bit hard, the broth tastes so-so. the sushi are good. The karaage was ok, but ebi furai, the prawns I think they're still undercooked . Overall I think the ramen's kinda pricy.
