The key is really just being smart at picking & haggling. For those reading this review, I'll give you a reasonable price range + how to pick based on the references I have in 2026: 1. Squid 80-90k 2. Rabbitfish (baronang) 70k/kg Got it cooked at Bu Atun. Why? Because when it arrived my rice was still warm, it was pretty fast, and the staff serving us were detailed & friendly. Total for cooking + drinks + rice at Bu Atun was just 170k for 5 people Pro tip: ask for plastic bags, turns out they provide them My tricks for picking seafood: 1. Choose the ones with digital scales (there's 1 stall a bit toward the front where you TF to the name Baharudin), though not all of his stuff is 100% good (in my opinion) 2. Check whether the gills have turned dark or are still red (fresh) 3. For more details you can DM my IG/ Tiktok @agnesfcyntia and I'll spill

Finally tried the seafood here. For a fish market, this place is quite tidy and well organized. Got a bit lost looking for parking; turns out the car park right in front of the market is only for loading and unloading, the public car park is near the entrance. There are quite a lot of car parking slots. If you want to come here, it's best to wear flip-flops and shorts, especially in the rainy season. And since you buy the fish in the fish market area on the ground floor while the cooking place is upstairs, you have to bring your own plastic bag to carry the fish up to be cooked. The fish and the like are pretty complete, just pick, but for crabs and lobsters you have to be careful choosing because most of the crabs and lobsters are dead. When I came here I bought 4 lobsters, two of them weren't fresh. Fish prices are relatively cheap. Payment at the market is cash only. The cooking itself is upstairs, there's an escalator to go up but when I came the escalator was off, which was pretty tiring if you're bringing a baby or elderly. The restaurants themselves come in outdoor and air-conditioned indoor options. If you choose an outdoor restaurant the rate is cheaper but you have to put up with the smoke. If you bring small kids, indoor is better but the cooking fee is more expensive. Still relatively affordable though. Service is quite fast and friendly, but the seasoning and sambal taste is kind of standard in my opinion. Payment in the restaurant area is cash or transfer only.

A place for seafood lovers... buy the fish at the bottom part of the building. Free to choose fresh fish, don't forget to HAGGLE yaa :). For crabs, don't forget to buy ones that are still alive, make sure they're still moving and freshness is guaranteed. There's cooking service in the upper area, you can choose various flavors: padang sauce, grilled, battered and fried, etc.. Very beautiful in the afternoon. For Muslims, it's safe, there's a fairly spacious musholla (prayer room) in the lower area
