Passing by this cafe and we saw the displayed unique bagels were really tempting. So we took a seat and order a jalapeno bagel and an orange custard bagel. The Jalapeno bagel had a pizza like texture. The top was covered with cheese, some pepperoni, and chilis, but despite the name was jalapeno, the spicy level was low, safe enough for every tongues. It was salty, savory, plus a little heat. Next the orange bagel, spreading the fresh orange aroma. A thin slice of real orange sticked in the middle of the bagel, giving it a beautiful visual. And the taste was good, a bit soft. For the drinks we ordered avocado affogato and berry burst. All good and not too sweet. The avocado affogato tasted much better if you stir / mix it well. The service was good, place was convenient, price was on the upper side.

Tried the croissant again at Social Affair Coffee & Baked House recently. Back in the day, Social Affair was actually one of the pioneers of croissant-focused cafés in Jakarta. At a time when croissants weren’t as trendy as they are now, Social Affair was one of the places that made them more popular and accessible. The café itself still has a cozy and comfortable atmosphere, making it a nice spot for coffee, desserts, or a casual hangout. However, when it comes to their croissant, it didn’t quite meet my personal expectation. I usually like my croissants to be super flaky and buttery, with crisp layers that almost crumble when you bite into them. The croissant here was a bit softer and not as flaky as I hoped. It’s definitely not bad, but if you’re someone who really loves that very flaky croissant texture, it might feel slightly underwhelming. That said, Social Affair still holds a nostalgic place in Jakarta’s café scene — especially as one of the early spots that introduced croissant culture to the city 🥐✨

Average food, would give it a miss. The roasted chicken was rather dry, and the butter tteok was really sticky that it was tiring to chew. The matcha isn’t pure matcha but the premixed powder kind, so it was really milky and sweet.

This is my first visit to this restaurant, and I decided to order a couple of dishes to get a taste of what they offer. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food; each dish I tried was delicious and full of flavor. The atmosphere here is inviting, making the overall experience enjoyable. I’m definitely looking forward to coming back to explore more of their menu and discover other tasty options.

Showed up early for brunch, there was only 1 waiter at first but the service was handled well and fast. The food presentation is beautiful, and the taste is pretty good as well. I ordered the pistachio dirty latte but the taste is not as good as expected because I think the real concept of dirty latte is that you can sip 2 different taste and texture at once, but this one I could only sip the pistachio cream so I had to use straw to win that texture. Overall it was a good experience dining here.
