Casual, woodsy rooms, some with balconies, in a laid-back hotel set in a nature reserve.

The resort is quite old and not enough of facility, no hair dryer or shapoo you need to prepare by yourself. It’s nearby the airport do you can hear the airplane. Price is cheap but staff can’t communicate well in English so u should use google translator

me and my bf stayed here for one day and one night. From midday to evening, the atmosphere was very comfortable and felt beautiful. However, there were a few things the hotel could improve in the future. 1. It said Netflix was available, but upon arrival, Netflix and YouTube were unavailable, even though we'd reported it to two receptionists. Worse, even the standard TV wouldn't turn on. 2. There were no glasses provided, we brought wine and had to ask for them in the cafeteria and they’re give us a dirty glasses so we should wash them before use with body soap at the bathroom 😔 3. For breakfast, the receptionist couldn't help us order from the cafeteria or give us their phone number, so we had to go there and order. 4. Some people said this place was a bit spooky, but we went, still in denial. Finally, around 2 a.m., we experienced a mystical disturbance in our room 👻 5. The breakfast we got from the canteen was quite oily and had too much soy sauce. You can judge for yourself. Besides that, some of the staff were friendly, and the canoeing experience was well-explained. If someone asked if I would return, I would? Yes, if only for canoeing or the coffee shop. But definitely not for a staycation.

The location is great. It’s fairly close to the airport and it’s only about a 15 minute walk to the mall with lots of restaurants. The mangroves are lovely too. Makes you feel like you’re in nature despite being in the city. The rooms themselves are not amazing. The bathroom was quite old and dirty. There were mosquitos in the room too. It would have been better if there was a mosquito net on the bed.

My wife and I stayed one night at the Mangrove forest as part of our honeymoon. She had visited the spot with colleagues when she was in Jakarta for work and insisted we visit together. When we pulled up late at night, I was skeptical that there could be a genuinely beautiful natural experience amid the noise, bustle, and skyscrapers of Jakarta. That said, our room was nice, with air conditioning, a comfortable bed, and plenty of space. In the morning, I sat on the deck and watched for birds, but it was in walking that the magic of the park was really revealed. Across kilometers of walking paths, the park offers many different views of secluded lagoons, larger bays, tree tops, undergrowth, and everything in between. I am a birder, and I added 8 lifers to my list in just a few hours in the park. The experience was intimate, with only a couple of groups of students in the main areas, and plenty of moments in which just the two of us were alone in nature. To top it all off, the food at the cafe was excellent, and everyone working the park was easy and enthusiastic in their hospitality. Truly a hidden gem in Jakarta and a place that deserves much, much more attention from tourists.

I love this place so much. In the middle of an urban Jakarta there is a mangrove forest which you can sleep above the swamps. There is a also kayaking and playground for children to play. We paid 311,000 IDR per night for their biggest room and the price quality ratio is very good! For improvements for the management (which I would then happily pay 500,000 IDR/night) I would suggest that the room needs a little bit of renovation (Bruguiera 1) such as: bathroom cracking and leaning, window shutters some were not working properly, water pressure (changing to a rainfall shower head makes a big difference to the feel without needing to increase water pressure). Also the towels could be improved. To even improve further I would lean even more on the whole sustainability from as well as the resort feel 1. better to use glass bottles rather than small plastic bottles in the room 2. the water refill at the front office makes it that customers have to go out of the resort and into the outside, why not have a refill station in a common area? Like where the greenhouse is? 3. You have a cafe (Mangrove House) why not provide breakfast so that guests can have breakfast by the manggroves? Will happily 100k more per night for this 4. To make hot water (with coffee, tea, sugar), having a electric kettle in the room would be a great addition 5. The Mangrove House should be serving drinks in glasses not in paper/plastic cups. Same also for the Food cart next to the Water Sports area, why use plastics and paper, use glass. 6. A table in chair in the room would be great for families with a working husband or wife (imagine a IG photo of a table and chair overlooking the swamps, beautiful!) 7. The playground needs to be serviced as the seesaw and roundabout was very rusty Keep up the good work! with Serenity Krishna
