My go to place whenever I crave Konro Bakar. Ribs were always nicely cooked. The bomb is the peanut sauce. To my taste, Karebosi's peanut sauce has the perfect balance of nutty and sweet. The broth was always hot and herby, I always add a squeeze of lime juice and added the chilli sauce to my taste. Wished they can improve the dining area because it is always scorching hot. But the food makes you come back, always.
View on GoogleThis place is not for the mendang-mending crowd — the flavors and prices are clearly premium, even though the setting is more like a simple eatery. Definitely worth trying. Every meat dish we ordered was tender and well prepared, never tough. Quality speaks louder than the decor.
View on GoogleHands down one of the best grilled ribs with peanut sauce in Jakarta. Their es pisang ijo was quite refreshing, the sumsum tastes really authentic. The restaurant has a lot of employees and all of them were quite responsive. The only issue I had when eating here was the place was dirty.
View on GoogleI had both the grilled and soup version. I prefer the grilled version more as it has strong smoky flavour and the peanut sauce is really good. It is pretty tender but actually it is alittle more chewy than I expected. I ordered the rice cake wrapped in leave (I call it ketupat) but I think rice should be better with soup (this is individual preference). I also tried Bandeng, Central Java food. It’s my 2nd time eating this fish in Indonesia. For me, meat is firm and chewy (maybe that’s how this fish is) which isn’t my type and this fish has lots of bones which I wouldn’t prefer. So, becareful when u eat. Overall, this place is good for smoky beef rib in tasty peanut sauce! Oh, one of the server speaks English well!
View on GoogleOrdered grilled beef konro and coto makasar, still my favourite from years ago. Es palubutung was fresh and sweet. Recommended if you miss Sulawesi food.
