Museum Purna Bhakti Pertiwi stands out as an absolute architectural marvel, a monumental historical treasure trove, and a profoundly educational museum destination that offers an unparalleled look into the life, leadership, and state legacy of Indonesia’s second president, Seoharto. The building itself is an absolute show-stopper, instantly recognizable by its unique, grand architectural design shaped beautifully like a series of giant Javanese tumpeng (traditional cone-shaped ceremonial rice dishes), which symbolically represent gratitude, national prosperity, and deep cultural heritage. The vast museum estate is exceptionally well-manicured, featuring expansive green lawns, mature tropical trees, wide paved entry avenues, and spotless cleanliness that sets a world-class standard for public cultural institutions. Stepping into the grand exhibition galleries is an incredibly rich and visually stunning experience that takes you on a fascinating journey through decades of modern Indonesian history and global diplomatic relations. The museum houses an extraordinarily vast, priceless collection of historic artifacts, state gifts of fine porcelain and silver presented by world leaders, intricate traditional hand-carved furniture, rare military medals, and personal belongings that map out the socio-economic milestones of the New Order era. The exhibition halls are beautifully grand, well-lit, and climate-controlled, featuring highly detailed, multi-lingual informational plaques and digital guides that allow history enthusiasts, students, and international tourists to explore the narratives with absolute clarity. The museum management team deserves immense praise for their exceptional hospitality, property maintenance, and educational dedication; the security wardens and local tour guides are extraordinarily polite, knowledgeable, and passionate individuals who are always ready to answer complex historical queries with genuine enthusiasm. The facility features a peaceful reference library, clean public restrooms, spacious rest zones, and a beautifully arranged souvenir shop that provides absolute comfort for visitors during their exploration of the massive compound. The striking contrast between the historic artifacts inside and the magnificent cone-shaped architecture outside makes it a dream location for photography enthusiasts. Museum Purna Bhakti Pertiwi is an invaluable national asset that proudly earns its perfect five-star rating.

I spent IDR 200,000 on a taxi, only to find out that the museum is no longer open. The guard at the entrance said it was closed forever.

The museum looks so glorious from outside. Many things here are about Soeharto, our 2nd President. The most interesting I found here is carving/relief that shown Indonesia history that surrounding wall of main entrance hall. Because it's located in the center of large garden, you should walk far enough from/to parking lot. Yes, shuttle cars are available but it couldn't handle all visitor.
