My son had a blast here! He loved seeing all the different vehicles, checking out the airplane cockpit, and riding the tourist train. It's a great spot for kids who love anything with wheels or wings. However, the museum is unfortunately quite under-maintained. Many exhibits are dusty and the facility feels a bit neglected. It has so much potential if it were better cared for!
View on GoogleIf your son loves so much about all kind of transporation whether it is an air or land or water transportations then this is the perfect place to be visited. It is placed inside TMII so you must to pay tickets to enter TMII and then extra 10 thousand rupiah to enter this museum. They also have different kind of time transportation from the old one to the newest one. My son learnt a lot from this place and it was not a boring experienced rather than an educational one.
View on GoogleMuseum Transportasi stands out as an absolute monumental, exceptionally sprawling, and profoundly educational museum destination that offers an unparalleled, world-class exploration of the history, technological evolution, and industrial achievements of transportation networks across land, sea, and air in Indonesia. Spanning across a massive, beautifully structured estate within the park grounds, this premier transport museum is a dream wonderland for history lovers, engineering tech enthusiasts, and families with young children who love big machines. The vast open-air and indoor facility presents an incredibly clean, well-organized layout characterized by massive multi-zone exhibition pavilions, wide paved exploration avenues, and pristine environmental upkeep that sets a spectacular benchmark for specialized public museums. The museum galleries are masterfully categorized into dedicated divisions for land, maritime, and civil aviation history, showcasing an extraordinary, valuable collection of authentic full-scale historic vehicles, meticulously crafted scale models, and rare industrial equipment. The outdoor vehicle pavilions are a spectacular, show-stopping highlight, housing legendary steam locomotive trains that operated across historic plantations, antique luxury presidential railway cars that visitors can step inside, vintage passenger buses, and classic cars from early eras. The aviation gallery boasts an impressive display of genuine vintage commercial airplanes and military training aircraft parked majestically on clean runways, while the maritime division houses traditional wooden spice-trading ships and modern navigation instruments that tell a beautiful story of maritime strength. What makes Museum Transportasi an absolute five-star destination is the exceptional property maintenance, clear educational mapping, and warm hospitality delivered by its management team and field coordinators, who keep the massive full-scale machines spotlessly clean and well-preserved against the elements. The indoor pavilions are fully air-conditioned, well-lit, and fitted with interactive digital display screens that make learning about transport logistics deeply engaging for school field trips and international tourists. The facility features exceptionally clean restrooms, safe children's play spots, shaded rest pavilions, and a beautifully arranged café zone that provides absolute comfort for visitors during their multi-hour exploration of the massive compound. Museum Transportasi is an absolute national treasure.
View on GoogleFirst time going to the Museum Transportasi. While it is indeed not like the museum in Malang, this one is still worth to visit especially with kids. They have a lot of very old locomotives displayed, as well as cars, motorcycles, history of Garuda Indonesia and more. Entry ticket is just 10rb.
View on GoogleOutdoor area is massive, most collections are outdoor (planes/train/helicopter/buses/taxi/etc, esp locomotives there many of them) Not much exploring indoor area as much time & energy already spent on the outdoor, but many area had lights turned off inside (unsure why) Tickets only 10k IDR, with 5K add on to enter the commercial plane (unfortunately it's dusty). Another 10k to ride train inside the museum outdoor area, but at the time it's not operating due to maintenance Restroom & mini food stalls available in multiple places, better prepare cash as not all of them provide qris. Overall worth the price eventhough the collections rather old and dusty (most of them you can't enter too). Better visit early morning or late afternoon to avoid heat
