Visited Museum Hakka Indonesia and really enjoyed the experience. The museum is well maintained and offers interesting insights into Hakka culture, history, and traditions in Indonesia. The architecture and interior design are beautiful, and the atmosphere feels calm and educational. A nice place to learn more about cultural diversity in Indonesia.

Museum Hakka Indonesia stands proud as a magnificent, highly prestigious, and architecturally awe-inspiring cultural institution and world-class heritage museum that serves as an invaluable national archive tracking the historic journey, social integration, and creative resilience of the Hakka Chinese diaspora in Indonesia. The building itself is an absolute, show-stopping architectural masterpiece, built beautifully and accurately in the full-scale circular shape of a traditional Tulou—the iconic, massive rammed-earth round fortress homes of the Hakka people in southern China, symbolizing communal unity, absolute protection, and deep architectural heritage. The property is exceptionally well-maintained by a highly disciplined management force, showcasing a pristine circular inner courtyard, gleaming stone work, and an immaculate standard of property hygiene that matches elite international museum standards. Stepping inside the multi-story round fortress reveals an extraordinarily rich, deeply moving, and beautifully curated historical exhibition system that takes you on a fascinating journey across multiple specialized galleries, including the General Chinese Indonesian History Gallery, the Indonesian Hakka Heritage Gallery, and specialized rooms honoring prominent national figures of Hakka descent who achieved monumental success across economics, medicine, and social reform. The exhibition halls are fully air-conditioned, spotlessly clean, and loaded with an incredible, priceless collection of centuries-old antique tools brought by early immigrants, rare hand-written clan registers, authentic clothing items, traditional kitchen hardwares, and detailed maritime migration dioramas that are presented with flawless visual harmony and high-end archival framing. The customer service team and specialized museum curators at Museum Hakka Indonesia operate with an extraordinary level of academic professionalism, courtesy, and heartfelt hospitality, delivering highly detailed and articulate guided tours that leave a deep impression of historical respect on your heart. The facility is brilliantly optimized for visitor comfort, featuring wide easy-to-navigate corridors, advanced digital information touchscreens, exceptionally clean public restrooms, and a quiet reference archive room designed for historical researchers. The dramatic, majestic contrast of the towering round fortress architecture against the peaceful surrounding gardens makes it a dream location for history lovers and photography enthusiasts alike. Museum Hakka Indonesia delivers an absolute five-star cultural experience.

Huge museum that displays the history of Chinese Indonesians, their contribution to Indonesia and their culture. The exhibit is mainly located on the second and third floor. The building has a unique circular shape. The displays are very informative especially those who are interested in Chinese Indonesian culture, written in Indonesian, English and occasionally Chinese. Entrance is free of charge but the museum is slightly secluded so you have to take the bus/rent a bicycle to reach there. There is a huge display of Chinese surnames at the entrance and it's fun to try spot yours. Highly recommended to all Chinese Indonesians and all people who are interested in learning Chinese Indonesian culture.

Literally this is the real museum because it has its own building. The design itself is quite unusual and interesting. There are three floors, each with different show rooms and unique things to display like old Chinese writing tools or kitchen set and many more. They really good at maintaining this place as its really clean. Love it.

For Chinese-Indonesians interested to know their roots, how their ancestors left China to Indonesia and how much they've influenced Indonesian culture, this is the place to go. There are 3 levels in the building, with stories and objects that were donated by Cinese-Indonesians. Upon entering, you will be greeted with walls of the Chinese family names. They will ask you to sign a guest book, and a free guide will accompany you through the museum. There is a wall dedicated to heroes and to those who have contributed to the country. Each level has a theme, the last one appreciating contributors .
