The Museum Indonesia showcases the rich cultural diversity of Indonesia through its fascinating collections. The building itself is beautiful, featuring Balinese-inspired architecture with a distinctive Hindu influence. Please note that the museum entrance ticket is separate from the TMII admission ticket. The museum ticket costs only IDR 10,000 on weekends, making it a great value for a cultural visit.

View on GoogleThis is my third visit in about 30 years. A great way to see Indonesia is an small scale. Good facilities to get around like buses, bikes, etc.. modern musea and many places to get food and drinks. Also al lot of wildlife, giant birdcages etc.
View on Google📍Located in East Jakarta within the TMII park, this museum is famous for its stunning Balinese architecture and its focus on the diverse ethnic cultures found throughout Indonesia. 🏢The building itself is a masterpiece of Balinese design, featuring intricate carvings, traditional gates, and corner towers. ✒️Exhibits are divided by floor, showcasing traditional costumes, musical instruments (like gamelan), and dioramas of various wedding ceremonies and daily life from different provinces. 🚏Includes extensive collections of traditional weapons (keris), textiles (Batik and Songket), and folk art from every corner of the country. ⚖️Being inside TMII allows visitors to combine a museum visit with a walk through the nearby "pavilions" representing each Indonesian province.
