Located near the front area of TMII, the West Sumatra Pavilion/Anjungan is one of the most visited pavilions. Its traditional Rumah Gadang, with its iconic buffalo horn-shaped roof, is truly unique and a symbol of West Sumatra's rich cultural heritage. A wonderful place to appreciate and help preserve Indonesia's diverse culture.

🌈One of the most iconic and visually striking landmarks in Taman Mini TMII, Jakarta. It serves as a cultural gateway to the land of the Minangkabau people. 🪄The centerpiece of region is a massive Rumah Gadang, the traditional house of the Minangkabau. 🎞️The Roof features the famous Gonjong roofs, which curve upward and end in sharp points resembling buffalo horns (reaching for the sky). 🏢The house is built as a Sembilan Ruang Empat Deret (nine rooms, four rows) style. In Minang culture, these houses are traditionally built without nails, using wooden pegs that make them flexible and earthquake-resistant. ⛺️In front of the house, you will see smaller granaries called Rangkiang, used traditionally to store rice for the community and guests.

This is not my first time to visit TMII. But, in a month, i've visited for twice with my friends. On this place very recommendation for foreigner/tourist to knowing about Indonesia. Because, you can found and see the miniature of Indonesia, especially culture and traditional house like West Sumatera replica's house. That was interesting! But, if you visit here on the weekend there so a lot of peoples. I suggest you to visit here on the weekdays. ;)

In my experience, this is the most beautiful pavilion in this place. I was fascinated by a large house with a tapered roof, it was very awesome. This pavilion is clean and very beautiful with green trees. Almost all of the land has been covered with block paving, so it is not muddy and slippery. The most exciting is that I can eat Padangnese food while enjoying the Gadang House and the melodious song of the Padangnese song. Perfect!
