One of rawon speciality restaurant in Tebet. They shared a same place with Kopi Lain Hati, so we can order both Rawon and Kopi at the same cashier. However, I've to admit that the rawon taste was quite average. I expected it gave strong kluwek taste, but turned out the soup taste was just average salty savory.
View on GoogleTurns out it's pretty tasty!😃😋 But why is it so quiet?🤔 It shares a location with a coffee place, and it's clean, bright, and comfortable✅️👍 There are power outlets at every table, more than most coffee shops, awesome😁👍 The Wi-Fi is also really great for streaming💖✨️ The rawon is quite hot, not boiling hot though☺️ The meat is nicely tender, the sambal is spicy, and you get shrimp crackers, white rice, and 1/2 a salted egg✨️👍 With unsweetened iced tea the total is 56.000, quite worth it for the taste and ambience🙏 4 stars because it's kind of... just quiet... maybe they could play some music? Of the 3 AC units, only 1 near the cashier was on. It's actually not hot inside at all, but maybe they could turn on 2 when someone is dining in to make it cooler?😆 Thank you, I'll stop by again when I'm around here💟
View on GoogleI stopped by because I'd just been to Pondok Lensa next door. When I entered, I thought, why is it so gloomy—the lights weren't very bright and there was no music or TV sound. I happened to be the only one eating there. After entering, on the left there was Kopi Lain Hati, which turned out to also be the cashier for Rawon Sedap. I ordered Rawon Daging, which comes with rice, shrimp crackers & 1/2 a salted egg, for 49k + unsweetened iced tea for 7k. The rawon broth was quite hot, the meat pieces weren't big and seemed to use a mix of shank & brisket/kisi. The outside of the rice was a bit dry, as if it had been prepared before I ordered. May I suggest putting tissues on the tables and maybe playing music in the restaurant? The food was actually quite tasty, it's a shame if things like this aren't given attention.
View on GoogleThe place shares space with kopi lain hati. Easy to find because the sign on the shophouse is big. Our first impression was that it was clean, and this was our first time eating rawon in such a comfortable place. Maybe because it's joined with a coffee shop, hehehe… The food we ordered also arrived quickly. For the food, we only bought rawon iga. Turns out it already comes with rice, shrimp crackers and half a salted egg. The portion was quite generous for me and my husband, who don't eat much. So we only added one portion of rice. The ribs were tender and fragrant. The rawon broth was rich and savory. It suited our tastes. The sambal suited us too, although we're not sure whether it's called sambal bawang or not. What didn't really suit our palate was the shrimp crackers. We thought they were too fishy and already a bit tough too. If I may suggest something to the owner, please offer extra perkedel and salted eggs. It feels like the meal is missing something without perkedel and extra salted eggs. Overall this is good in terms of cleanliness, taste and dining comfort. Thanks to the owner and all the staff
