Bustling option for lots of chicken dishes in a stylish venue with limited air-conditioning.

A Restaurant with traditional Javanese food, as well as the ambience from typical Kraton Solo. Classical tastes of Kraton with touch of hospitality service

Worth every single calorie! 🤤 Roemah Kraton is easily one of my favorite restaurants in Jakarta. The Nasi Tungku was sedap nak mampush! 😍 Packed with rich flavors, generous toppings, and spicy sambal that made every bite addictive. You know a dish is good when you keep saying, “one more bite…” until the plate is empty. The Bebek Goreng deserves a special mention too. Crispy skin, tender and juicy meat, perfectly seasoned, and absolutely no gamey smell. Pair it with the sambal and fresh vegetables… chef’s kiss! 👌 Beyond the food, the restaurant itself is beautiful. The traditional Javanese architecture, peaceful garden, and cozy ambiance make it a perfect place to enjoy a meal with family or friends. The staff were friendly, attentive, and the service was excellent. I’ll definitely be back every time I’m in Jakarta. If you’re looking for authentic Indonesian food with amazing flavors and a beautiful atmosphere, Roemah Kraton is a must-visit! ❤️🇮🇩

Roemah Kraton Tebet South Jakarta January 2026 Sambelan Iga (beef ribs sambal set) for 86 K IDR++ and Sate Sapi (beef satay) for 80 K IDR++ Roemah Kraton projects such a posh facade that I initially hesitated to enter because my experience has shown how similar attempts to present Indonesian foods in a luxurious setting tend to fall flat in terms of flavour as well as value. One could not be happier to be proven wrong. The sambelan iga is a monster of a serving which could probably feed two as it has 3 sizable rib chunks, an amazing rendition of talua barendo (eggs fried to look like lace), like 5 or 6 sizable salted fish, enough sambal to eat all of them with, as well as a huge portion of kremesan (fried chicken-flavoured batter), a sizable portion of lalapan complete with selada (salad), timun (cucumber), kemangi (basil), and labu (calabash). Now one often finds other rib options from other purveyors at around the same price range, but this one is definitely bigger in size as well as in flavour. The ribs themselves have great charring and tenderness while retaining that very subtle sweetness from its marinade - the tenderness really sets it a calibre above most others at this price range. Now i would naturally always hope for them to err on the side of it being really falling off the bone, but knowing how ribs are usually prepared in Indonesia, this is really something one looks forward to revisiting. The sides all complemented the ribs as the salted fish was not overly salty and feels just right to crunch alongside the ribs and sambal. This DIY surf and turf with the crunch and saltiness of the fish with a bit of the kremesan perfectly complements the tenderness and subtle sweetness of the ribs. Now add in a bit more of that brown thin crunchy lace eggs and you get to understand why the judges of animes like "Born to Cook" may present some really over the top reaction to food. Satay is also great value and the 19 K nasi liwet is good whils the 32 K kelapa jeruk is amazing. Durn IG word limit! #amazing #indonesian #food #jakarta #diediemusttry

The meal at Roemah Kraton was genuinely enjoyable, and the flavors were the main highlight for me. The dishes were well put together and left a strong impression. The only downside was that the service could have been smoother, so it wasn’t quite a perfect experience, but I’d still come back for the food.

Sayur asem and bakmi special were absolutely the stars of the meal. So comforting, so flavorful, and big portion. The ambiance was stunning, cozy, and very baby-friendly, making everything feel extra comfortable for our little family time. 1000% definitely coming back.
