While in Jakarta, I had a meal reservation here via phone. The specialty in fried chicken is very good, ala Mbok Berek. Their service is also very friendly and helpful in explaining each menu that we want to order. The atmosphere is also very comfortable, typical of old-money vibes.

Ayam Goreng Mbok Berek Ny Umi offers a delightful culinary experience that transports your taste buds straight to Yogyakarta. The succulent fried chicken is infused with rich coconut spices that penetrate right down to the bone, delivering a truly mouthwatering sensation. Don't miss out on their special Gudeg with krecek, which showcases the unmistakable flavors of Yogyakarta. The restaurant's authentic Javanese paintings and ornaments create a soothing ambiance that immerses you in the region's cultural charm.

Ayam goreng mbok berek is a nice place to enjoy Javanese food from Jogja. Delicious meal. If I may suggest please add more lights in the restaurant.

An authentic Javanese fried chicken. My family likes the chicken. You can also get the local soda drink: coffee beer and sarsaparilla. The parking area is HUGE, suitable for 20 cars or more. The interior is dark, i hope it's just because of the pandemic. I wish the waiters are more knowledgeable.
