I was eating alone at late night and was joined by a baby cockroach to give me company, thanks to him/her i didn’t got bored. Once i spent enough time with the cockroach, I asked the lady by the counter if she can change my plate and discard the food, which she gladly did as I didn’t ask for any replacements. As a courtesy the staff told me that they will waive off the prices for the kebab which i happily shared with the baby roach, and was willing to pay for it. As the food was average tasting and I was quite full already so just paid the bill and left. Had a decent late evening there. P.S. The parathas were not properly toasted on Tawa and had raw flour, but still manageable for a bite or two.
View on GoogleIncredible Indian food at Royal Kitchen Signature! The food presentation is stunning (loved the brass tableware), and the flavors are spot on. Highly recommend the Lamb Biryani—it comes in a clay pot and smells amazing the moment it opens. The curries are rich, the naan is fresh and fluffy, and the type of puri is a must-try starter. Super satisfying meal and great vibes for a dinner out
View on GoogleOrdered their chicken biryani and seekh kebabs. Chicken biryani was below average at best. Masala to rice ratio was way off. Not fragrant at all, like a biryani should be. I was quiet disappointed in Biryani as I had heard amazing reviews about it. Seekh kebabs had some sort of a tenderizer in it, which absolutely kills the texture of a seekh kebab. Lacked flavor as well. This restaurant is in a dead mall. As such the restaurant was not busy either, that should've been a warning sign. Their prices are over inflated for the quality of food being served. And regardless of the number of people, a service charge is automatically added. In short, a very disappointing experience. Do not recommend it, nor would be a repeat for me.
View on GoogleWe were recommended by our Indian friend to try this restaurant. And we really love it! We've been there a couple of time and we always enjoyed our meals there. The interior was designed beautifully and aestheticly pleasing. The service was friendly & attentive. We usually ordered: Plain naan - the thin, almost crispy type, i prefer the thicker and the chewier type. Cheese naan - the cheese was generous and thick. But it's too salty, it didn't go well with the curry. The cheese was too overwhelming. Gosht Dum Briyani Baby lamb - basmati rice and baby lamb cooked in a clay jar, covered with dough at the top. Aromatic & tasty, full of spices. Zaffrani Kofta Curry - Cottage Cheese balls served in a yellowish saffron gravy. Tasted like potato to me. The curry sauce was not as tasty as the other curries. Kashmiri Rogan Josh - Kashmir style lamb stew, super flavorful, slightly spicy. The lamb was super tender. Murgh Makhani - our favourite dish! Tandoori chicken cooked with tomato, topped off with butter & cream. The chicken were smokey and aromatic. The sauce was velvety, creamy and tasty. Rasgullah Saffron flavored cottage cheese balls dipped in a sugary syrup - the texture of the balls was literally like a sponge. The syrup was too sweet. A must try Indian restaurant in Jakarta!
View on GoogleWe had a wonderful dining experience at The Royal Kitchen. Yesterday, we celebrated one of our family member’s birthday here, and everything from the food to the atmosphere made the moment feel special. The dishes were flavorful, well-prepared, and comforting, perfect for sharing with family. What truly stood out was the thoughtful service. The team surprised us with a laddu cake for the birthday celebration and even gave us a box of sweets to take home, which was such a warm and memorable gesture. Small touches like this really make a difference. Highly recommended for family gatherings, celebrations, and anyone looking for good food with heartfelt hospitality.
