We had a nice dinner at Koi Mega Kuningan earlier tonight. I have been critical about this place before, and I believe that Koi Mahakam does overall a better job, but tonight's dinner was nice. We started with a goat cheese salad for my friend and a cheese plate for me. Both were fine and I though I should have ordered the goat cheese as well because it looked really good. I had Belgian stew with Belgian fries for main and while the portion was too small for me, the taste was just right. Any Belgian knows Vlaamse Stoverij or Carbonades Flamande, and Koi's Belgian stew gets that just right. Sadly there was not a lot of meat in the stew and I got just eleven (I counted) Belgian fries, which is by for not enough for this Belgian. My friend meanwhile had the panfried dory and he seemed to enjoy. We ordered just one crepe with chocolate ganache for dessert. Koi does its crepes will. I just wish they would make them a bit warmer. As usual in Koi Mega Kuningan, it was just luke warm, probably because it was pre-made and just quickly put in a hot pan. It needs to be warmer, but overall it's a solid dessert. Koi's prices are, in all its outlets, incredibly reasonable and the Mega Kuningan bill was no different. A solid four stars for very acceptable value for money.

Chill spot with killer side dish! Popped into KOI Mega Kuningan the other night and it was such a vibe – nice modern setup, friendly staff, and the food hit the spot. Started with the garlic bread and wow, it was crispy on the outside, soft inside, loaded with garlic and herbs. Perfectly buttery and addictive, we demolished the whole plate in minutes. Then came the cheesy spinach – creamy, rich, with that gooey melted cheese baked on top. So comforting and indulgent, kinda like a hug in a bowl. The star though was the beef tartare with fries. Super fresh raw beef, seasoned just right with herbs and onions, and those fries were golden and crunchy. Ate it all with a bit of salad on the side – simple but executed perfectly. Great portions, reasonable prices for the area, and the whole place feels relaxed. Definitely gonna come back next time I’m in Jakarta. Highly recommend if you’re craving some solid European-ish comfort food!

The atmosphere at Koi Mega Kuningan stood out more than anything for me, and the visit felt smooth from start to finish. I also appreciated that they handled our birthday request and added a complimentary banana cake, which was a nice touch. The food was solid overall, and the service made the whole experience feel easy and pleasant.

KOI Mega Kuningan is a fantastic spot if you’re looking for a cozy and quiet place to catch up on work or finish a book. The ambiance is very laid-back and inviting. I spent a few hours here and found the environment perfect for focusing. The service is excellent, the staff are attentive and very friendly. My only minor note is that the temperature can get a bit warm inside at times, so you might want to pick a seat near the AC or dress light. Overall, a great place for both dining and productivity!

Had some nice cocktails and a cheese platter, delicious and to my surprise all made in Indonesia. With caramelized onion jam like it should be and wallnuts. Certainly going back for that. Staff also very friendly and efficient.
