It’s a good, authentic gyro restaurant right in the heart of Kuningan. Price is a bit steep but typical to the area. I’d highly recommend the gyros and cheese pies (tiropita).
View on GoogleWe had our second excellent meal at HaloNiko's new Mega Kuningan outlet tonight. I have been a customer at some of their other locations and the quality standards have been invariably excellent. I had a Greek grandparent so souvlaki, moussaka and pastitsio elicit pleasant memories of my youth. The dishes at HaloNiko taste as authentic and you can reasonably expect in Jakarta. I had one halloumi and one feta dish for starters (couldn't decide which one so ordered both), and while their saltiness is definitely an acquired taste, I can warmly recommend them if you are into this kind of Mediterranean fare. The meat dishes for the main course options are equally delicious and are seasoned to Greek standards. When all that was done and dusted, we still stuffed ourselves with a Greek dessert. HaloNiko's prices are extremely reasonable and so you are in for very good value for money here. Warmly recommended and we will for sure be back soon.
View on GoogleA solid Greek takeaway that definitely deserves a try. The lamb was well-seasoned and flavorful, although a slightly more generous portion would make it even better. The tzatziki was fresh and cooling, but could benefit from a brighter hit of lemon and a touch more seasoning. The pita was soft, warm, and complemented the filling perfectly. Considering how few Greek restaurants there are in Jakarta, this is a welcome addition and one I’d happily come back to.
View on GoogleThe food is quite good but it’s an unusual combination of Indonesian and Greek food however the Indonesian food is as good as the Greek. The Greek food is good, the recommended food items is the Hummus and the Beef Skepasti. The service is okay and the atmosphere is a simple restaurant setup, good for a quick lunch. The drinks are good. Overall some improvements are that it needs a more posh setup and rather than selling bags maybe sell related merchandises like a shirt with the restaurant’s logo on it. I recommend this restaurant, it’s quite nice.
