This wasn’t my first time at Samwon since their big renovation. It's still one of my go-to spots for Korean food. I like that they serve six types of banchan along with a pitcher of corn tea to start. The portions are quite large, so it’s easy to share. I’ve tried the Ojingo Bokkeum (80k), a spicy squid hot plate served sizzling. The squid was chewy in a good way, and the mix with cabbage kept the flavors balanced. On another visit, I had the samgyetang (155k). You can choose to have the rice mixed into the broth or served separately. The broth was surprisingly rich, with a gentle garlic flavor and a slight peppery warmth. Very comforting! The chicken portion was also generous. We also ordered the kimchi okonomiyaki (60k), topped with plenty of katsuobushi. The center was especially soft and flavorful, so don’t miss that part.
View on GoogleOrder bibimbap dolsot and sogogi bokum. The dish was delicious, portion were big enough, so we are fully satisfied. The staff also very friendly. Also appreciate the tasty bonchon and fruits afterwards. Recommended and value for money.
View on GoogleRestaurant Setiabudi: it was a very affordable Korean bbq store with several options of beef package. We went with the cheapest one and the beef was of good quality with truly free flow side dishes and beef. The drinks are also freeflow. However the service was a bit slow and there should be more people actually seeing the customers, they kinda just talk to each other and I had to really struggle calling them and asking for a refill.
View on GoogleLocated in the ground floor do Setiabudi 1; frequented by many office workers in the vicinity. Simple and straightforward Korean bbq with decent quality. Service is good and food is cooked fast, so no complaints. Price is fair for a place like this too. Gamsahabnida!
View on GoogleThis is the place to go for your first-time Korean meal experience. Free flow of fresh vegetable, high-quality meat, generous portions, and packages fit for families. The taste of the food is very different from that of Korean fast food restaurants, but you can find everything sold in a fast food chain in this particular venue. You will definitely discover a variety of spiciness and other interesting, pronounced flavors.
