It’s an established temple that serves both Taoism and Buddhism practices. The Buddha statue is displayed at a separate wing of the right side of the temple (facing outward). It is known that this precious calming temple is over 100 years old. The left wing of the temple has a 大伯公, Tai Pak Kung, and also other deities statue. The stunning and symbolic pagoda in the front of the temple entrance has beautiful and detailed, intricate carvings of dragons and visuals. We came here on Wesak Day to offer prayers and some ritual act of ‘fangsheng’ - releasing of birds and fishes. Both live birds and fishes are bought from a one-man seller who can can see at the temple entrance compound. One live bird is bought at idr3,000, and one live fish is idr10,000. We would surely come back to perform some prayers. Highly recommended to visit this temple, even as a tourist.

Piece of peace at the heart of Jakarta’s city center. Close to Transjakarta’s bus stop and in walking distance from MRT Benhil Station. Very peaceful and the view at night is stunning. The perfection combination of bustling city and traditional culture.

Open for the public, Taoist Temple in adoration to the Earth God. Beautiful architecture of this over 100-year old Temple just a walk away from the busy Jakarta CBD area. Calm yourself from busy life in the quiet Meditation room.

A calm temple located in bustling business district area of Jakarta. I love to pray there because the facilities are complete and clean, you could pray comfortably here without much distraction. The temple's staffs are helpful and warm too. For the first timer who want to go there please enter by the entrance at the front of jalan Prof Dr Satrio instead of now closed-down gate near Siloam Hospital
