I must say that the environment and the music was nice. Alun Alun at Lippo Mall is a collection of stalls selling food from various parts of Indonesia. So if you are interested to have a taste of Indonesia, this is a good place to visit. Ambience is good too.
View on GoogleI chose to eat here because of the wide variety of choices, the spacious dining area and many Indonesian local menus, just choose. The location is in the Plaza Semanggi mall, aka Lippo Mall Nusantara. If we use the MRT, get off at Benhill MRT Station. Walk about 10 minutes towards the mall. Today I tried the pindang patin fish menu at Pindang Sungai Musi. The price is moderate, still the same as the price of regular pindang patin in Palembang. In my opinion, the texture of the fish is just right, still dense. From the taste, I can confirm that this is real river fish, not farmed fish. However, the broth is a bit salty in my opinion and there are no vegetables. But indeed for patin pindang in its city of origin, there are many choices of broth. The price is Rp. 39,000, plus a bottle of mineral water Rp. 10,000.
View on GoogleLocated at the old Plaza Semanggi, it’s now called Lippo Mall Nusantara with grande beautiful foodcourt named Alun Alun Nusantara. Hundreds of food hawkers from all over ethnic Indonesia you can find here. Love the vibe, love the amazing food varieties and beautiful interior designs. Definitely worth the visit and highly recommended for those who enjoy Asian culinary experience.
View on GoogleAlun Alun Nusantara at Lippo Mall Nusantara (formerly Mall Semanggi) is a refreshing revival of a space many thought had lost its charm. Lippo’s bold move to breathe new life into this nearly-forgotten mall deserves recognition. One of the best parts of visiting now is the parking—plenty of available spots and little hassle, thanks to the fact that not many people have discovered this hidden gem yet. While the parking is convenient, getting around inside can be a bit of a wait. The number of elevators is still limited, and during peak hours, they can take a while to arrive. However, given that the mall is still in its early phase of revitalization, there’s hope this will improve over time as foot traffic increases and further improvements are made. During my visit, I stopped by Hua Nan Kopi Siantar at Alun Alun Nusantara. It offered a wonderful taste of Peranakan-style coffee—rich, distinct, and comforting. The café had a relaxed atmosphere, making it a cozy spot to unwind. If this is the kind of tenant Lippo is bringing into the space, the future of Lippo Mall Nusantara looks promising indeed.
View on GoogleI remember going there on the day 2 of lebaran holiday and kinda crave some pork stuff 😂 they had the real alun-alun vibe from all over the region esc. Java. They have all menus from every islands and I had my pork se’i combined with fried pork etc, tastes sooo good with its smoke-infused flavor.
