After work, my friends and I decided to check out Kushikatsu Daruma for a casual dinner and drinks. If you're unfamiliar with kushikatsu, it's a popular Osaka specialty consisting of skewered meat, seafood, and vegetables that are coated in batter, deep-fried until crispy, and dipped in a savory sauce. It's the kind of food that's perfect for sharing over drinks after a long day. We ordered the Osaka Set, which included Ganso Kushikatsu, Chicken & Spring Onion, Curry Chicken, Sausage, Chicken Skin, Gindara (black cod), Shrimp, Lobster Ball, Eggplant, Potato, and Tempeh. We also added Lotus Root and Mochi as extra skewers. My personal favorite was definitely the Lotus Root. I always love its naturally crunchy texture, and it tasted even better coated in the light, crispy batter. The Gindara was another standout—soft, buttery, and perfectly cooked. Even something as simple as the Chicken Skin was addictively crispy. Besides the skewers, I also ordered the Tori Supreme Ramen. It wasn't an overly rich or fancy bowl of ramen, but that's exactly what I liked about it. The broth was clean, comforting, and tasted like it was made from real chicken rather than relying on excessive seasoning or MSG. Sometimes, a simple bowl done well is all you need. Overall, Kushikatsu Daruma has the kind of relaxed atmosphere that's perfect for unwinding after the office. Grab a few skewers, order a warm bowl of ramen, pair everything with a cold drink, and you've got a great place to catch up with friends after a long day. 🍢🍜🍻

Very good kushikatsu. Similar in taste to the one in Osaka. Not many places makes kushikatsu, so if you are craving for it after your japan trip, this is the place to go.

I had the pleasure of visiting this spot for the first time on a weekday lunch with a friend, conveniently located at PasFes near our workplace. The ambiance is quite inviting, with a comfortable indoor setting that makes for a relaxed dining experience. The menu features a variety of kushikatsu options, but we opted for the lunch sets this time: - Chicken Katsu Curry Rice (including ocha) for 65k - Chicken Katsu Curry Udon (including ocha) for 70k (Note: Prices are before tax and service charge.) I was genuinely impressed by the quality of the food. The homemade katsu and udon had exceptional texture, and the curry was rich and flavorful—definitely deserving of a 5/5 rating. The ocha served alongside was also quite refreshing. Overall, it was a delightful dining experience that felt like a great value for the price. I was a bit surprised to see only a few guests during such a busy lunch hour, as this place clearly deserves more attention. I look forward to returning to explore more of their menu!

I have been to this place twice, and the taste is really delicious, with prices that are budget-friendly. Definitely a must-try for those who love Japanese fried snacks; the flavor is truly just like in Osaka. 😍 only the music s bit too loud for me 🙏

Another bucket list since it has nice reviews and finally — found an option when craving for curry udon! Used to eat chicken curry udon at Su*** Gro*** but they have gone forever. Went there on Saturday night and it didn’t get busy. Katsu curry udon is sooo good although its absence of veggies. Oh and I wanted to thank you to the crews who gave me a whole additional katsu for free after a food plating failure which made one piece fell from the bowl 😂🥹🙏🏻 mozzarella can’t do the cheese pull but still okay. Thank you for the protein boost!
