I've been having lunch at Jinsei ever since they first opened. Back then, my office was located in Gama Tower, so it quickly became one of our favorite lunch spots. I still remember visiting during their soft opening. The restaurant was still very quiet, and it genuinely felt like dining in a small Japanese restaurant tucked inside an office building. At that time, they only offered lunch set menus, where you could choose three main items, and honestly, it was one of the best lunch deals around. My favorite rice has always been the Edamame Furikake Rice. It's simple, but the combination of fluffy rice, edamame, and savory furikake makes it surprisingly addictive. For my set, I usually pick salmon sashimi, grilled salmon, and karaage. The karaage is definitely one of the highlights—the pieces are huge, juicy, and perfectly crispy. Every lunch set also comes with soup and side dishes, making it a very satisfying meal. I did have one disappointing experience, though. During one visit, the grilled salmon was noticeably overcooked, making it quite dry. The staff kindly replaced it, but unfortunately the second piece was also overcooked. Personally, I would've preferred to switch to a different menu item instead of receiving another salmon with the same issue. Since my office moved to the building next door, I don't visit Jinsei as often anymore. But whenever I'm craving a Japanese set meal, it's still one of the places that comes to mind. The food is consistently good most of the time, the lunch sets offer great value, and it's a convenient option for anyone working around the Kuningan area. 🍱🇯🇵

Found this gem accidentally when visiting Westin hotel/ Gama Tower on a Sunday afternoon for a very late lunch. Good lunch set! Oiishi-desu! And of good value too. Will come again.

Oishii & fair price 😍 Rekomen bgt Teishoku (set menu) nya 👍 Must try the rice with furikake & edamame, so simple yet so tasty. This restaurant is located in an office building, thus on Sunday the atmosphere is very zen. The room is quite spacious, and the interior is cozy with modern Kyoto vibes. Beautiful, I love it.

Not sure if we were simply unlucky but the whole experience was shockingly appalling. We came on a Saturday morning on 2nd August, around 11am. Upon exiting the lift we were hit by a foul smell, like rotten rubbish, so the walk all along the corridor was pretty painful. We informed the staff immediately. Was genuinely concerned and flabbergasted about the smell (the cause is still a mystery). The restaurant was empty except for us, and there was only 1 server on duty. Our food took a while, at least 20-30 mins. One of the salad was missing tomatoes (and they did not even let us know properly), and we were informed that one of the items we ordered was unavailable after almost half an hour went by. Pretty unprofessional. When we wanted to leave, I had to search around for a staff and could not find anyone at all until I had to call out to the kitchen out back to see if we could be assisted with our bill. Also, I saw the table/seating nearest to the kitchen was messily strewn with bags, not sure whose, but perhaps the staff since no other customers were around. The food was actually decent and prices were very good. I would however recommend the restaurant to just CLOSE on weekends if that was the level of service offered due to lack of staff. Alas, with our terrible first time experience we would never go back and would never recommend JinSei to anyone.
