Ended up had a dinner at Gion Sushi, so I ordered the Karubi Don here. No regrets! The portion size was huge and the beef was so tender, not chewy at all. Overall a pleasant experience, though my only wish is that they’d add even more Karubi next time! 🤣 Finished off with the warabi mochi ogura for dessert. The combo of the chewy mochi, soft ogura texture, and ice cream was SO good!

The foods? Gion Cheese Lava Roll: The star. A rich, indulgent experience that delivers on its "lava" promise while Ishiyaki Beef Truffle Don: The aroma of truffle paired with the searing heat of the stone bowl makes this a high-impact comfort dish. The staff is professional and will warn you upfront that food takes 15–20 minutes to arrive as it allows you to settle into the comfortable seating and focus on your conversation before the feast begins.

the food is ecxellent, duck salad is a must to order, the duck fillet is so moist n tender, melt in your mouth, and their salmon head is hidden gem. umaiiiiiii.....
