Came here for late lunch and dinner take away after spotting this place and got a recommendation from a Thai diplomat here. Ordered spicy pad kra pao set with rice and sunny side up & glutinous rice for dine. Also som tam, pad thai, garlic fried chicken original & pad kra pao ala carte (yes! It waa so good we decided for a takeaway too!). Pad kra pao was on point, tho I wished they used royal basil instead of local basil/kemangi. When I asked spicy, they certainly delivered it! 🔥🔥🔥 But you could ask for it to be made to your spicy preference. Som tam was smooth and fresh! Love that I found dried shrimps in it. But didnt cause me itchiness like some shrimps. Garlic Fried chicken was crispy and delish! The lid of the box was left open to keep the chicken crispy during transport which worked! Stayed crispy till I arrived home and even after. Pad thai is awesomely charred too. Full of flavor along with dried shrimps and fried shrimps. The Thai lady (who I assumed was the owner) was nice and friendly. The staffs were moving swiftly and friendly too. Average waiting time for the food to be served. All in all, good service. The price is on the higher side but totally worth the food. This has set my standard of Thai food in Jakarta. On the side note, there were a Thai couple when we arrived there so u know it’s a legit Thai food when their nationals dine there 😄
View on GoogleExcellent authentic hidden gem Thai restaurant. You have to come here and try it and experience it yourself. Taste way much better than many chain Thai restaurants at the malls. Huge portion and very well priced, will definitely come here again Must try: The fried chicken is excellent, crunchy with garlic lime spices.
View on GoogleChampion for this visit is the Som Tam. Real authentic and spicy taste like in Thailand. Pad Thai, the path is right. But they put too much sweetness and lack of sour taste. This might caused by adjusting to local taste. The fried chicken is good, but no Thai taste at all. Thai taste refer to Zaap in Ratchada or any street fried chicken seller along Ramkhanghaeng and Bangkapi. Owner is friendly by greeting us and say “makasih” before we left. Place has too much flies and mosquitoes, quite annoying. Price, with the taste and place, kinda expensive for foods that we can get for less than 300 Baht in housing area of Bangkok. For those menu, including 1 cold Aqua, we spent IDR 200,000. Conclusion, despite all of the “less authentic” things, menu we ordered taste way more authentic than fancy Thai restaurants in mall. If only they could renovate the place into indoor AC, with their price and taste, surely can be option for those who want to eat something different.
View on GoogleRecommended by a Thai expat friend living in Indonesia — and it did not disappoint. The food tastes truly authentic. The raw shrimp with homemade sauce was the highlight: incredibly fresh with bold Thai spices, perfectly balanced and very flavorful. Definitely one of the best Thai food spots I’ve tried here. Will come back again!
