A staple and must-visit when going to Astha. They serve legit Thai-inspired cuisines, with bold and authentic flavors. My go-to is the beef boat noodle which is super tasty and comforting, but recently they add rice menu and it doesn't disappoint as well (I ordered crispy chicken krapow). When you're here, don't skip the iced thai tea and bakso goreng/fried meatball. Trust me you'll thank me later.
View on GoogleSawadee krub! One of my new favorite spots whenever I’m craving Thai food in Jakarta is Saap Thai. They have a really wide selection of Thai dishes, so there’s plenty to explore. My personal favorites are the Thai boat noodles (super comforting and flavorful), the fried meatballs, and the fried banana for dessert, honestly, everything I’ve tried so far has been solid and satisfying. Service-wise, no complaints at all. The staff are friendly, welcoming, and attentive, which always makes the whole dining experience feel more enjoyable. If you’re looking for a reliable Thai spot in Jakarta with good food and good vibes, this place is definitely worth checking out.
View on GoogleHad Khao Soi here and it was great. Portion was generous and tasted good! My friend ordered the sirloin dry noodle, it was tasty too with a hint of char. Place was pretty quiet as it's a bit hidden from the crowded area of Ashta. Would totally recommend!
View on GoogleVery popular and busy especially on Fridays, Saap Thai serves very tasty pho style noodles (but more like kwetiaw) in sour tangy Thai broth. Everything was great and you could request spicy level from 0-3. We tried lv 2 and it was just right for our Wagyu boat noodle. Bakso goreng was a good addition to the meal, washed everything down with iced Thai coffee & teas. Portion wasn't too big, I can imagine super hungry people needing more than one serve. Pricing is on the premium side tho so rather than a second serving one might want to get desserts elsewhere in the building.
View on GoogleOrdered the Australian Sirloin Dry Noodle with egg noodles. The portion is decent and filling, but not overly so. For the price (85k), I was expecting a more generous meat portion, so if you are really hungry, I would recommend ordering extra protein. The pakcoy was also just one large leaf. If the protein is on the lighter side, I wish there were more vegetables to balance it out. What I really liked was the noodle itself. It is very thin, well separated, and nicely cooked. The flavor was a bit bland at first. I ordered spice level 2 out of 3, but it was not spicy at all. That said, once you mix everything properly with the toppings and add fish sauce, the jalapeño dressing for acidity, plus their magic sauce, it comes together really well. Waiting time was around 10 minutes on a Friday at 3 PM. Overall, nice food and worth trying.
