Such a solid spot if you’re craving Japanese food. The place is super clean, cozy, and has that calm vibe that makes you wanna stay longer. Sitting at the counter was honestly my favorite part because you can watch everything being prepared. The salmon was really fresh, especially the sashimi. The salmon crispy nori was sooo good too, probably my favorite thing I ordered. The curry was comforting and flavorful, and the gyoza had a nice crispy bottom without being greasy. Ocha was refreshing and paired really well with the food. Service was friendly and everything came out pretty quickly. Portions were decent for the price and presentation was beautiful. Definitely coming back to try more from the menu. 🫶

A total disappointment. Eating here because of a good google review. Kaminori >> the rice is too overcooked, almost like porridge. Taste is just okay. The yakiniku beef truffle has no truffle aroma and too sweet. Gyudon >> taste just okay. The meat is around 60gram. For Rp90k price is not worth it at all. Nanban >> the cream is too creamy, and no tangy sauce at all. Another failure. On the service, when i came in, the kitchen bar staff was busy playing his phone. Didnt hear me calling him eventhough only 1 meter distance. The waiter didnt bring my ocha and sauce pan until i asked for it. When i complained about overcooked rice for the kaminori, she only said thank you for the feedback. No waiter standby inside eventhough they were 3 waiters and 1 manager. This 1 star comment is a wakeup call for the owner.

I had a great experience at Kaminori Japanese Restaurant in Astha District 8, Jakarta. The atmosphere is really pleasant—modern, clean, and comfortable, making it a perfect place to relax and enjoy a meal. What stood out the most was the service. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, and everything was served quickly without compromising quality. It made the whole dining experience smooth and enjoyable.

The signature hand rolls are tiny but delicious. Take the 5-piece set with miso soup and salad, and it’s a pretty fulfilling meal. I also had the saba shio set which was a bit heavy on the shio for my taste… great alternative to the other two Japanese establishments in Ashta that I personally think are subpar.

Our dishes arrived in under 20 minutes, making the entire experience smooth and enjoyable. Fresh ingredients, efficient service, and delicious food, definitely be coming back!
