Fragments Basque cheesecake remains one of my favorites and has never disappointed. It’s rich, creamy, and perfectly balanced without being overly sweet. A friend even bought me a whole cake for my birthday—that’s how much I love it. The Earl Grey cake was also excellent. Cream was light and fresh, allowing the Earl Grey flavor to come through without being overpowering. A great option if you prefer something less heavy. Consistently good desserts, quality ingredients, and definitely a place I’ll keep coming back to. 🍰✨
View on GoogleFragments stands out as a truly unique and cool, chic cafe located in the prestigious ASHTA District 8, South Jakarta. If you are looking for a high-quality, specialized experience that elevates simple fare, this is a must-visit. Cuisine Highlights: New York Bagels and Artisanal Matcha The food offerings are refreshingly unique. The bagels are a genuine treat, evoking the quality and authenticity of New York City bagel shops. They are incredibly fresh and yummy. The true star, however, is the artisanal beverage menu. The matcha is freshly prepared, and I highly recommend trying the unique variations, especially the one with the orange citrusy base—it was simply delicious and creative! A big shout-out goes to the barista, whose meticulous preparation was like watching an artist at work. Ambiance & Design: Cosy Industrial Chic The design expertly balances functionality with style. The atmosphere is cosy contemporary with a sophisticated clean industrial look, featuring a blend of stone and steel softened beautifully by plush cushioned chairs. The active service counter sits centrally, contributing to the lively yet intimate feel, distinguishing it from other high-end cafes in the area. Value and quality Fragments is definitely positioned on the premium side in terms of pricing, but it delivers on its promise of quality. It offers a clear case of premium price for premium quality and a unique offering in the bustling District 8. For a stylish, flavorful, and uniquely satisfying coffee and light fare experience in South Jakarta, Fragments is highly recommended.
View on GoogleNice little place, though it’s not very big, so be prepared to queue if you want to dine in especially on weekends. I tried three of the staff’s recommended dishes, and they kindly explained each one, including the flavour and texture. You can pay by cash or cashless, which is convenient. Definitely try the Nasi Uduk Cheesecake! It’s got a savoury, slightly salty, and a bit spicy taste, basically nasi uduk in the form of a cake. Quite unique and surprisingly tasty.
View on GoogleThere isn’t much of a seating area, so it might not be the best spot for WFC. But the space here is definitely better than their previous location in GI. I’ve always been a fan of their cheesecake, one of the best I’ve had in town. I usually get takeout, though I dine in occasionally too. I’ve tried almost everything before: strawberry cream cake, earl grey cake, mango cream cake, castella, and scones. The strawberry and mango cream cakes were quite good, hopefully the quality hasn’t changed like it did with the cheesecake. As for the scones and castella, they weren’t the best. Since their old store closed and they reopened at Ashta, we decided to try some of their new menu items. It was a bit crowded on the weekend, and our order took around 15–20 minutes to arrive. I was really curious about the Korean bagels, especially since the one I had in Korea left such a strong impression. Unfortunately, these didn’t live up to that experience. The bagels were huge, fluffy and chewy, but the breakfast sandwich was way too salty, I couldn’t even finish it after a few bite. The fillings like eggs and meats were alr quite salty, which made it overwhelming. The everything bagel was just okay, but the apple crumble bagel stood out the most, I'd give it an 8. As for the financiers, I personally preferred the savory ones, they were good. The truffle vanilla flavor was too sweet for my taste. I also got the cheesecake to go, but strangely, it tasted different from what I remember from their previous store :( On top of that, it seemed like the portion size had shrunk, though the price stayed the same. Still, I’ll probably come back again for the cheesecake, hopefully it’ll taste the way it used to.
View on GoogleHave been hearing plenty of praises about this place, and decided to try it out on the rare occasion I visited Ashta. The shop is located on UG floor and very much visible from the nearby escalator. It’s also quite spacious inside. Went on a Friday afternoon and thankfully the place is not crowded. Decided to get a few items from their menu: • Gorgonzola Cheesecake: at first had a bit of doubt due to gorgonzola is an acquired taste. But in this one, it’s actually quite good. The taste is not too intense and can still get that creamy cheesy flavour that I looked for in a cheesecake. The texture is also gooey which is good. The only issue for me is that “the crust” was very floury. • Earl Grey Scone: would be better if they warm it up, because what i got was served in room temp. The texture was too dry and it was a bit bland. The topping gives it a bit of sweetness but the ratio doesn’t compare to the size of the scone. • Strawberry Latte: unfortunately this is not for me. It is quite watery because the amount of ice in the drink. And for the price, hope that they can do better. Apart from that, the service was quick and the team was kind.
