The Alice, inspired by Lewis Carroll’s character, offers a modern tea setting but the menu for the Afternoon Tea is overpriced for what you get: some items were lacking in freshness, only looked pretty but disappointing in taste. The mini waffles and scones were stale-tasting. The scone lacked flavor, did not have a tender crumb or buttery taste. It only looked pretty. The clotted cream resembled more like melted ice cream and just dripped off our scones. The green-colored bread was not an appetizing visual and did not have a strong basil taste to justify its artificial appearance. The service was lackluster. No one checked on us. We had to ask for more hot water, but we did like the tea timers for the various tea types though. The sweets were the highlight. Compliments to your patisserie chef! We especially enjoyed the last two items: the strawberry/phyllo dessert with a strawberry mousse as well as the freshly baked Madelines although we were not informed that those would take awhile so we just sat there wondering if we should just ask for the bill. Our tummies were full so we requested a takeout box. Horror upon horrors, even though we had not requested to take the beef tartare home, there it was in a box with the pistachio cake and chocolate ganache cake. So disappointing as we had to throw that out! Ambiance: tea guests sit in the dining room with everyone else: business people conducting meetings, women enjoying a quick drink before heading out. I wouldn’t recommend this for a special occasion tea as it had been for us. The price did not match the experience and we most likely will not return unless we order the sweets à la carte.

Had a truly wonderful afternoon tea experience at The Langham. From the moment we arrived, the ambiance was elegant and relaxing, making it the perfect setting for a lovely tea time. A special mention to Daniel, our server, who was incredibly attentive, warm, and professional throughout the experience. His hospitality made us feel genuinely well taken care of. The selection of pastries and savouries was impressive, offering a great variety with beautifully crafted presentation. Each item was thoughtfully prepared, with a nice balance of flavours and textures. The tea selection complemented the experience perfectly. Overall, it was a delightful and memorable afternoon, and I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a refined tea experience.

Had such a lovely time at Alice🤍 Ordered a Negroni crafted by Bigus, and wow—perfectly balanced, bold, and dangerously easy to sip! Definitely one of those “just one more” kind of drinks🥃 What made the experience even better was the service. Ayu was incredibly warm, attentive, and genuinely helpful without being overbearing. Exactly the kind of hospitality you hope for but don’t always get. Overall: great drinks, even better service. 10/10 would come back for both the Negroni and the people

Daniel from the service team was attentive, friendly, and professional throughout the evening.
