Really enjoyed dining at Sushi Maru Hang Tuah! The food was fresh, delicious, and beautifully presented. Everything we ordered tasted authentic and well-seasoned, especially the sushi and grilled dishes (Takara salmon belly roll). The atmosphere was cozy and comfortable, perfect for a casual dinner or special occasion. Service was also great by Mr. Rapi. He served very patiently and detailed. Other staff were friendly, attentive, and helpful throughout the meal. Overall, such a pleasant dining experience. It is my 2nd visit with family. Would definitely come back again and highly recommend this place to anyone craving good Japanese food in Jakarta.

Sushi Maru is a great place to try out high-quality, premium sushi. It offers a big variety of Japanese food. When you step in at first glance, you will feel calm and relaxing music playing in the background. Also, the lighting is quite dim, making it feel soothing, warm and calm. Now, as it comes to the food — their sushi is premium and high-quality, as because each dish is crafted with the highest quality ingredients. In my opinion, it feels like it was imported from Japan because there are some rare sushi types that you don’t find here commonly. You should order the sushi in moriawase (platter) form if you’d like to try out all-in-one. For the dessert, the Mille Crepe with the cherry is sweet, and according to the staff, they say that the Hokkaido pudding is the most recommended. The service is quick. Their staffs are knowledgeable and friendly. The service is quick because the number of staff members are quite a lot, so that would make it easy. In conclusion, this restaurant is very good for one of you looking for good, premium Japanese cuisine in a relaxing atmosphere. Would highly recommend this place!

One of my best experience restaurant to eat sushi in Jakarta. We bought tokujo don and it can be shared up to 2 people. Takara salmon belly roll is a must because it served with 2 slices thick salmon belly. Otoro nigiri sushi softness is out of the world, it went to our mouth and instantly gone. Meat in maru special is delicious but a bit tough and veiny. The hospitality is very great. We are served by Mas M. Rapi. He explained the menu in great detail and patiently. After all the dishes were served, he took the initiative to ask if we needed a photo. Thumbs up for the waiters at Sushi Maru. The ambience is full of japanese interior and it feels homey. They also serve alcohol in here.

I went to Sushi Maru for lunch with my husband and honestly, we both loved it. The highlight was the salmon belly fat roll (I forgot the exact name, but it has a picture on the menu, so it’s easy to find 😆). It was so good that we kept talking about it after the meal. The restaurant is quite spacious and it was not busy at all when we visited, which made the lunch feel very relaxed. We came without a reservation and were able to get a table, but I’d still recommend checking with them in advance just to be safe. Overall, the food was delicious, the atmosphere was comfortable, and we had a great experience. If I’m ever back in Jakarta, I’ll definitely come back to Sushi Maru again! 🍣💕

Ambiances and services are great 8/10, food come pretty on time. Servers are helpful and quick. Food on the other was quite par. Will only highlight any menu with salmon belly are great cause it’s fresh and has a thick cut. Second thing to recommend are the unagis. Apart from it, food are just par, but its fresh. Tasted too local for this level of Japanese restaurant. Foods are 7/10.
