Interesting Museum. Museum Polri Or National Police Museum Of Indonesia Is Located Inside The Complex Of National Indonesian Police Headquarter. Although It's Very Well Maintained & Managed, The Museum Doesn't Really Get Much Attention Because It's "Hidden". It Showcases The History Of The National Police Before Its Creation & After Its Creation On The First Floor. Then Modern Day National Police On The Second Floor. There Are Collections Of Weaponry, Police Attributes, Medals, And Even Items That You See In Spy Movies. There's Also A Police Patrol Car Located Before The Stairs To The Second Floor. The Third Floor Showcases The History Of Metro Jakarta Police Department And A Collection Of Debris Left By Some Of The Most Horrifying Bombings In Modern Indonesian History Like Bali Bombing (2002 & 2005) & JW Marriott Hotel Bombing (2003)
View on GoogleI'ts a good museum, the museum staff was very friendly, there's no entrance fee, and there are lots of well kept and interesting collection. The explanation text for each collection has an english translation (even though there are some grammatical errors). However it is located inside police headquarter complex, you must leave your ID card at the security post, the guard was helpful but not very friendly. I visited on weekend which means that it should be open at 9:30 AM, but when I visited, the guard says that it opens at 10:00 AM and told me to wait for ~30 mins.
View on GoogleUnexpectedly a very well maintained museum. There's a lot of item and things you can learn from this museum. Free entry.
