Nice food but an otherwise unremarkable late morning breakfast experience at Moon Gypsy. This place fits in the same category as a long list of venues with comparable menu offerings, including nearby Braud, the Union group's Knots, 1/15 coffee and farm.girl, to name just a few. All offer similar breakfast and brunch items, although Moon Gypsy is different because its Brunch menu is its only menu. I had the Crab Scrambled, because it stood out as the most eclectic menu item, but I found it unremarkable. It was mostly scrambled eggs, oddly stuffed in a sweet croissant and with even more out of place drips of aioli sauce on the side. It is good that I saw a couple of flakes of crab meat here and there because I would otherwise not have believed that there was actual crab meat in the dish. Any taste of crab was overwhelmed by the chili in the eggs and the aioli sauce. I also ordered the Gypsy Breakfast, a pretty standard breakfast tray that comes with eggs, sour dough, beef sausage, beef bacon, and hash brown potato. It was quite ok, but not exceptional. You can have a combination of these breakfast items every morning in any hotel. I am sure the Senopati crowds who like to spend hours purportedly hard at work behind their laptops while slowly sipping fancy coffees will find Gypsy Moon an enjoyable place to spend a couple of hours of their day. There is nothing bad about the food on the menu and the pastries in the show case look quite nice. But the place is otherwise merely average and definitely not something I would go out of my way for to visit again.
View on GoogleOverall food is good. Great aussie style breakfast in town. Coffee is also great. Service is also very nice. They don't have a lot of staffs so customers just have to be more thoughtful and know their orders. Place is a little bit small so weekend might be very crowded.
View on GoogleYou have to try this cafe! The food, coffee, and pastries are all excellent. The Galbi Benedict is an absolute must-try-the galbi is truly the star of the show. The Gipsy Breakfast is a close second. The scrambled eggs are perfectly seasoned and paired with high-quality bratwurst, bacon, and hash browns. Even the pastries are a delight-crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside. As for the coffee? Crazily good. They clearly use a top-tier house blend. The only downside is the space. It's quite small, with indoor seating for about 16 and an additional 12 seats in the outdoor smoking area. It was well worth the price. For two people, it cost IDR 50OK, which included two meals, two coffees, and a pastry.
View on GoogleThis charming cafe in District 8 offers a cozy atmosphere with limited seating options. While there are a few indoor tables, the outdoor seating might not be the best choice for a full meal as so near too car parking. However, the friendly staff is always accommodating and can reserve indoor seating if needed. The star of the show is their bakery. Their salted honey kouign amman and ham and cheese pastries are surprisingly delicious. They also have a variety of other equally delectable pastries on their display. The breakfast menu is a feast for the senses. The gypsy breakfast is generous in portions and allows you to customize your egg to your liking. The crab omelette is well-made and flavorful, served with a side of sauce. While the hot cakes are beautifully presented, they’re the least favorite. They’re dense and heavy, but they’re still enjoyable to eat, paired with syrup. On the positive side, their coffee is exceptional. The gula melaka coffee is not too sweet, and the latte is well-made. Overall, this cafe is a great place to enjoy a delicious breakfast. However, you’ll need to find a seat indoors to make the most of your meal. The prices are a bit high considering the location.
View on GoogleMy fav is def the crab omelette it was just rlly flavorful. However, the hotcake was simply just rlly dry and I did not enjoy it! However, this place is pet friendly which gives it a bonus point. Would def want to go back for the crab omelette tho
